DESC:TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to a mechanism for changeover switch disconnector. The invention finds its application in Modular Changeover switch disconnector, Modular Isolator and wherever two fixed Contact and One or Two moving contact system is used. Further the invention is concerned about transfer the electric supply from one terminal to other terminal in modular change over switch.

BACKGROUND AND THE PRIOR ART
Changeover switch disconnector is one type of electro-mechanical switch which breaks an electric current from one terminal and diverts to other terminal (Another source). In other words, Change over switch is used to transfer the electric supply from one source to another by moving the contact from one fixed contact to another fixed contact. In the mechanism there are three terminals. In those terminals two terminals for incoming and remaining is for outgoing which are fixed with housing and there is one moving mechanism. In that mechanism there is two or one moving contact.
Changeover switch disconnector has three positions:
Position 1: In this position load is connected to the main power supply.(Source 1 ON)
Center Off position: In this position the moving contact is not connected with any of fixed contact so this position is called isolated position. (Both sources are OFF)
Position 2: In this position load is connected to the auxiliary supply. (Source 2 ON)
All currently existing mechanisms consist of following parts
1) Two fixed contacts
2) Two moving contacts
3) One mechanism
4) Three compression springs (One for moving mechanism & remaining two for maintaining contact pressure.)

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
One object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages/drawbacks of the prior art.
A basic object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for changeover switch disconnector.
Another object of the present invention is to use only one spring in this mechanism instead of using no. of springs and for indicating true contact position in the modular changeover switch disconnector and also provide better robust product.
These and other advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent from the following detailed description read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The following presents a simplified summary of the invention in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the invention. This summary is not an extensive overview of the present invention. It is not intended to identify the key/critical elements of the invention or to delineate the scope of the invention. Its sole purpose is to present some concept of the invention in a simplified form as a prelude to a more detailed description of the invention presented later.
The present invention relates to a mechanism for use in changeover switch disconnector. The mechanism comprises knob means (I), another inside moving arm means (II) having integrated gear profile in operative engagement with said knob means so that change in position of knob means correspondingly move said inside moving arm means (II), a slider located proximally to said inside moving arm means (II) such that movement of said inside moving arm means (II) moves the slider and a holder means loaded with a spring and co-operating with the slider so as to hold the slider at a predetermined position wherein said spring exerts pressure on the moving contact of the switch disconnector facilitating contacting of the moving contact with the input terminals.
Other aspects, advantages, and salient features of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description, which, taken in conjunction with the annexed drawings, discloses exemplary embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The following drawings are illustrative of particular examples for enabling methods of the present invention, are descriptive of some of the methods, and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention. The drawings are not to scale (unless so stated) and are intended for use in conjunction with the explanations in the following detailed description.
Figures 1 to 5 illustrate various components/parts of the mechanism of the present invention.
Persons skilled in the art will appreciate that elements in the figures are illustrated for simplicity and clarity and may have not been drawn to scale. For example the dimensions of some of the elements in the figure may be exaggerated relative to other elements to help to improve understanding of various exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure.
Throughout the drawings, it should be noted that like reference numerals are used to depict the same or similar elements, features and structures.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings is provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of exemplary embodiments of the invention as defined by the claims and their equivalents. It includes various specific details to assist in that understanding but these are to be regarded as merely exemplary.
Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
The terms and words used in the following description and claims are not limited to the bibliographical meanings, but, are merely used by the inventor to enable a clear and consistent understanding of the invention. Accordingly, it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustration purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
It is to be understood that the singular forms “a,” “an,” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
By the term “substantially” it is meant that the recited characteristic, parameter, or value need not be achieved exactly, but that deviations or variations, including for example, tolerances, measurement error, measurement accuracy limitations and other factors known to those of skill in the art, may occur in amounts that do not preclude the effect the characteristic was intended to provide.
Features that are described and/or illustrated with respect to one embodiment may be used in the same way or in a similar way in one or more other embodiments and/or in combination with or instead of the features of the other embodiments.
It should be emphasized that the term “comprises/comprising” when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps or components but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, components or groups thereof.
The present invention provides a less no. of components and rigid mechanism also. Due to less no. of components manufacturing cost of product is low and assembly of product take less time. This novel mechanism is discussed below in detail.
Figures below show the new design change over mechanism with different position of knob. As discussed earlier there are three different position of knob. Fig. (1) shows Position 1. In this position the moving contact is connected with the lower terminal of input side. And as shown in figure the slider is in downside and due to spring force the moving contact is connected with the lower terminal with some pressure. Fig. (2) shows Center off position. In the center off position moving contact is not connected with any of fixed contact. For Center OFF position there is one position holder which holds the moving contact in the center position with the help of position holder spring and as shown in fig. on the slider there is one slot to hold the slider in center position.
Fig. (3) is position no. 2. In this position the moving contact is connected with the upper input terminal. When it is going from center OFF position to position no. 2 spring force is realized on the moving contact in the upper direction so the moving contact is moving towards the upper input terminal. In short, in this mechanism one spring (5) serves two purpose
(1) Provide the contact pressure to the moving contact
(2) To operate the mechanism I
Fig. 4 shows the isometric view of the changeover mechanism and Fig. 4 & Fig. 5show the where the different components are located in this mechanism.
This novel arrangement of changeover mechanism has following components:
1. Knob I
2. inside moving arm II with integrated gear
3. Slider
4. Position holder
5. Position holder spring
6. Bread wire (Flexible copper wire)
7. Fixed Contact
8. Moving Mechanism
9. Mechanism Spring
10. Moving contact
11. Fixed terminal

Advantages:
1. Single spring used
2. Positive contact indication
3. Robust mechanism
4. Cost effective
5. Assembly friendly. ,CLAIMS:1.A mechanism for use in changeover switch disconnector, said mechanism comprising:
