DESCRIPTION
The obstacle-avoiding vacuum cleaner is an advanced robotic cleaning device
designed to autonomously navigate through indoor spaces while avoiding obstacles in its
path. It combines the functionality of a traditional vacuum cleaner with intelligent sensors
and algorithms to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning without getting stuck or causing
damage to furniture or other objects.
BACKGROUND ART:
Nowadays, automation has become indispensable, and these devices greatly simplify
home automation. To enable automatic operation, a robot requires a controller unit: and that is
where the NodeMCU comes into play. The NodeMCU, an open-source software and hardware
development environment, is built around the cost-effective ESP8266 System-on-a—Chip
(SOC) The ESP8266, designed and manufactured by Espressif Systems, is integrated into the
NodeMCU ESP8266 development board, which features the ESP-12E module containing the
ESP8266 chip. This chip is equipped with the Tensilica Xtensa 32-bit LXI06 RISC microprocessor, supporting RTOS and operating at an adjustable clock frequency ranging from
SOMHZ to IGOM Hz. The NodeMCU offers 128 KB RAM and 4MB of Flash memory for data
storage and program execution. Its high processing power, built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and Deep
Sleep Operating features make it an ideal choice for IoT projects.An ultrasonic sensor is an
electronic device that measures the distance to an object by emitting ultrasonic waves and
converting the reflected sound into electrical signals. Ultrasound travels faster than audible
sound, which is the sound that humans can hear. An ultrasonic sensor consists of two main
components: a transmitter; which uses a piezoelectric crystal to emit sound waves, and a
receiver.
We Claim,
1. The system uses so it doesn’t requires battery replacement, we can recharge it with
a charger or connect it with a solar charger.
2.With reference to point I: we claim that it reduces the e-waste by means of
reducing the replacement of batteries.
3.With reference to point I; we claim that as it has longer life, we can extend the
usage of this by using solar charger to recharge it on runtime.
4.This system uses 3 ultrasonic sensors to detect the obstacles and avoids the
obstacles in the front and sides of the robot.
5.Based on the aforementioned factors, we assert that the proposed undertaking is
deemed cost-effective due 10 its reusability extended lifespan, and reduced power
consumption.
