DESC:FIELD
The present disclosure relates to the field of mechanical engineering. Particularly, the present disclosure relates to the field of devices used for removing oil from a conveyor chucker plate.
BACKGROUND
In automotive industries, lubrication of various components of a vehicle, such as transmission, front and rear axles, and the like, is accomplished by providing lubricating oil thereon. Such components are placed on a moving conveyor to accomplish the lubrication process. In this process, the lubricating oil may get spilled on a conveyor chucker plate of the conveyor. The spilled lubricating oil gets ultimately wasted and may fall on the floor in the under-pit which causes soil pollution. The spillage of the lubricating oil on the conveyor chucker plate may also cause a person walking thereon to accidentally slip and fall down, thereby causing injuries. Furthermore, if the person walks on the conveyor chucker plate having the lubricating oil spilled thereon, and then walks on the shop-floor, his foot-prints get imprinted on the shop-floor which require significant efforts for cleaning.
Therefore, there is felt a need of a device that cleans oil spilled on a conveyor chucker plate of a conveyor.
OBJECTS
Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies, are as follows:
It is an object of the present disclosure to ameliorate one or more problems of the prior art or to at least provide a useful alternative.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a device for removing oil from a conveyor chucker plate of a conveyor that has low operational cost.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The present disclosure envisages a device for removing oil from a conveyor chucker plate of a conveyor that effectively removes oil from the surface of a conveyor chucker plate of the conveyor that is particularly used in automotive industry.
The device for removing oil from a conveyor chucker plate of a conveyor (hereinafter referred to as device), of the present disclosure, is now described with reference to figure 1 through figure 3.
Figure 1 illustrates a top view of a device 100 in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 2 illustrates an isometric view of the device 100 of Figure 1.
The device 100 comprises a cleaning element 102, and a linking mechanism 106. The device 100 is configured to remove oil from a conveyor chucker plate 104 of a conveyor 101.
The conveyor 101 is defined by the conveyor chucker plate 104 and a plurality of conveyor pegs 112. The plurality of conveyor pegs 112 is disposed on the conveyor chucker plate 104. The conveyor 101 may be used for any machine or component that requires oiling operation to be performed thereon during manufacturing stages
The cleaning element 102 is disposed proximal to the conveyor chucker plate 104 of the conveyor 101. The cleaning element 102 is configured to absorb the oil from the conveyer chucker plate 104. Further, the cleaning element 102 is adapted to rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof.
In an embodiment, the cleaning element 102 is a foam broom.
The linking mechanism 106 is coupled with the cleaning element 102 to facilitate the movement of the cleaning element 102 such that the cleaning element 102 can be selectively raised or lowered during the operation of cleaning the lubricating oil from the conveyor chucker plate 104.
Further, the linking mechanism 106 is coupled with the plurality of conveyor pegs 112 such that the movement of the linking mechanism 106 is powered by the motion of the plurality of conveyor pegs 112, thereby facilitating the movement of the cleaning element 102 corresponding to the movement of the plurality of conveyor pegs 112 resulting in cleaning the oil from the conveyor chucker plate 104.
The linking mechanism 106 comprises a plurality of sheave blocks 106A and cable 106B. The linking mechanism 106 and the cleaning element 102 are mounted on a foundation structure 108. In the present embodiment, the foundation structure 108 is disposed adjacent to the conveyor chucker plate 104. The device 100 further comprises an oil collecting tray 110 that is disposed proximal to the cleaning element 102 such that the oil absorbed by the cleaning element 102 can be collected in the oil collecting tray 110.
In an operative configuration, the linking mechanism 106 is actuated by the plurality of conveyor pegs 112. The linking mechanism 106 lowers the cleaning element 102 such that the cleaning element 102 is in surface contact with the conveyor chucker plate 104. The cleaning element 102 absorbs the oil that is present on the conveyor chucker plate 104. The conveyor chucker plate 104 is moving and is in surface contact with the cleaning element 102, thereby resulting in the cleaning of the oil present on the conveyor chucker plate 104. Subsequent to the absorption of the oil, the cleaning element 102 is retracted by means of the linking mechanism 106 and held vertically so that the oil absorbed by the cleaning element 102 gets collected in the oil collecting tray 110, under the action of gravity. The oil collected in the oil collecting tray 110 is used for the lubrication of the different components of the conveyor chucker plate 104.
Figure 3 illustrates an isometric view of a device 200 in accordance with another embodiment of the present disclosure. The embodiment of the 200 illustrated in Figure 3 includes a covering structure 114. Other elements of the device 200 are similar to those disclosed with respect to the device 100, as disclosed in Figure 1 and Figure 2. Hence, for the sake of brevity of the present disclosure, like elements of the devices 100 and 200 are denoted by like numerals.
In the device 200, the covering structure 114 is configured to partially encase the cleaning element 102. Further, the covering structure 114 is configured to be pressed against the cleaning element 102 so as to remove the oil absorbed from the cleaning element 102. Subsequent to the cleaning of the oil from the conveyor chucker plate 104 by the cleaning element 102, the cleaning element 102 is pressed against the covering structure 114 and rotated about the longitudinal axis thereof, thereby resulting in the desorption of the oil absorbed by the cleaning element 102. The oil, which is removed from the cleaning element 102, is then collected in the oil collecting tray 110. The oil collected in the oil collecting tray 110 is used for the lubrication of the different components of the conveyor chucker plate 104.
The devices 100 and 200, of the present disclosure, have low operational cost, as they do not require any external power supply for their operation. The devices 100 and 200 use the movement of the conveyor chucker plate 104 for its operation. Furthermore, the construction and configuration of the devices 100 and 200, of the present disclosure, is simple and cost effective. As such, the devices 100 and 200, of the present disclosure, have easy serviceability.
