Optical Fiber Fusion Splicer
Abstract: The optical fiber fusion splicer of the present invention for heating and fusion splicing optical fibers to each other is provided with: a sheath clamp mounting stage; a sheath clamp having a sheath clamp lid for opening and closing the sheath clamp being attached to the sheath clamp mounting stage; and a first motive power source for advancing the sheath clamp mounting stage and opening the sheath clamp lid; an operation for opening the sheath clamp lid being performed using the first motive power source after the fusion splicing is completed.
