“Optical Recording Medium Having Write Once Metal Reflective Film”

Abstract: A pirated edition of an optical recording medium produced by physically transferring the profile of pits and lands formed on the substrate of the optical recording medium can be judged. An optical recording medium excellent in weatherability and having long term preservation reliability is provided. On a substrate recording main data combining pits and lands, a reflection film composed of an Ag alloy film of Ag100-x-yXxCuy, where X is at least one kind of element among Ti, W, Ta, V, Mo, Nb, Zr, is formed so that a mark for elevating the record mark reproduction signal level of write once recording sub-data to the reflection film but for lowering the reproduction signal level in an optical recording medium produced by physically transferring...
