BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art. [0003] Food industries have started focusing on the functional food fortified with the plant ingredients that meet the consumer's demand for a healthy life style. These foods not only satisfy palates but also provide humans with necessary nutrients as well as increases physical and mental health of the consumers. [0004] Natural fortified foods are substances that provide health benefits beyond normal nutritional values and added nutrients, which are of natural or herbal origin. The researchers are keen to develop functional food and nutraceuticals into marketable products because of the herbal revolution and its implementation to daily nutrient intake or function-fortified food/dietary supplements with desired therapeutic efficacy.
[0005] The plants are the major source among the Indian masses, since most important foods of mankind as these are not only nutritive but are also sometimes indispensable for the maintenance of health. There are some herbal food supplements available in the developed nations and a few in the developing ones. [0006] Nowadays, taking note of the importance of natural ingredients in almost all the products to avoid harmful side-effects, many producers / manufacturers have started using natural ingredients of plant origin. However, all-natural compositions with adequate consumer performance with a limited number of raw materials is a daunting task. Further, the raw material availability is scarce when compared with the synthetic ingredients.
[0007] Additionally, the drawbacks currently associated with the naturally-derived formulations include costly, requirement of high concentrations for desired medicinal property, undesirable flavors and odors, poor stability, and are not effective as expected.
[0008] Hence, there is an imminent need for developing palatable form of herbal health supplements with one or more health benefit providing herbal ingredient that not only provide desired medicinal property but also the patient compliance. [0009] The present disclosure overcomes the deficiencies of the art by providing a non-toxic eco-friendly cleansing compositions which are effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms.
