Plants need nutrition to grow. The presence of ample amount of micro and macro nutrients in
soil is the basics of a healthy and productive garden/farming/vegetation. Soil is often divided
into various categories, such as clay, sand, silt, and loam, although there are an infinite
number of soil varieties because soil compositions can vary widely in organic matter, large
and small rocks, minerals, pH, and other factors.
There are plenty of reasons for occurrence of soil degradation like soil erosion due to
washing away of top nutrient-rich layer of soil by the flow of water or wind, repeated farming
without following crop rotation etc.
Wide variety of organic and inorganic fertilizer s and composts are available in market
promising the better quality of harvest.
Unlike Inorganic fertilizers prepared from harsh chemicals, organic fertilizers are prepared
from bio-degradable agricultural/plant waste and animal/ human waste, gets breakdown and
degrade easily thereby rejuvenating the quality of soil by enhancing its ability to trap water
and nutrients within it which over the time results in healthy and strong plantation and
cultivation.
Lot of work has been done in the field like US20090181849A1 relate to compositions and
methods for providing agricultural chemicals comprising active ingredients (A.I.s) combined

In an embodiment, the cure tank is constructed using terracota bricks in shady / airy space facilitating air circulation around said tank.
In an embodiment, the cure tank is lined internally from a mix of cow dung, cow urine and normal soil.

In an embodiment, the cure tank's internal surface is sprinkled with approximately 1:1 mix of said nutrient solution and said NCOF's waste decomposer solution for approximately 7 to 10 days before adding the mix to it. The process of curing 'Iha' with nutrient solutionand Waste decomposer with regular and periodic aeration, imparts proper balance of micro and macro nutrients to the mixture and results into a humus rich 'soil'. Use of the combination of and Waste decomposer to cure the soil mixture also makes 'Iha' soil pathogen resistant. This eliminates need of poisonous chemical sprays of insecticides and pesticides over plants and in the soil. The biomass keeps decomposing into the soil over a long period of time and releases nutrients slowly into the soil ensuring plants healthy growth without needing chemical inputs. In an embodiment, the method for the preparation of the Organic potting soil composition comprises following components:
a) Mixing the dry ingredients as mentioned in the table 1 i.e. earth, Agricultural waste like cereal stubble, vermi compost, sugarcane bagasse compost, charcoal powder, river sand(or coarse hillside sand), wood ash, Neem oil cake in concrete mixer followed by sprinkling of two liquid manures nutrient solution and NCOF's waste decomposer solution to prepare moist mix.
b) The moist mix is then sieved well to remove any lumps in the mixer or any foreign objects.
c) The sieved mix is then turned into a brick walled space by following specifications:
i. This brick walled space is constructed as a normal enclosure on a firm earthy ground.
ii. The walls have enough air spaces between the bricks for the contents of the enclosure to get proper aeration.
iii. The earthy ground inside the enclosure is lined with a mix of cowdung, cow urine and normal soil.
iv. This lining is allowed to dry and cure well before the use of the tank. v. Once it is dried, the entire enclosure is sprinkled with 1:1 mix of nutrient solution and NCOF's waste decomposer solutionfor 7 to 10 days.
vi. The soil mix is then added to this enclosure for resting and curing.
d) The soil mix is sprinkled everyday with the mix of nutrient solution and waste
decomposer in the ratio of 1:1 to keep it always moist.

e) After sprinkling the liquid mix, the soil heap is then turned thoroughly after every 2 to 3 days in summer and after 5 to 6 days in winters to allow good aeration into the soil.
f) This curing process is continued over minimum 15 days in summer and minimum 30 days in winter before packing and selling it in the market.
The process of curing this soil mixture with nutrient solution and Waste decomposer with regular and periodic aeration imparts proper balance of micro and macro nutrients to the soil mixture which makes the nutrients readily available for a plant with their slow release into the mixture by each and every decomposing biomass ingredient of the soil mix to grow healthy plants without any additional chemical inputs. The use of the combination of nutrient solution and Waste decomposer to cure the soil mixture also makes the soil pathogen resistant removing the need of poisonous chemical sprays of insecticides and pesticides over the plants grown in this soil.
The method adopted and described here is the most low cost low investment method easily adoptable by a very small scale investment by a small farmer himself on his own farm space who has the agricultural waste and other biomass like cowdung manure and cow urine from a Indian breed cow is available to him/her.
On a large scale, this product can be produced using a lot of automation at many stages of its processes like sieving and curing.
