3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION:
COMPLETE
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

Padding for Electrical Devices Field of the invention
The present invention relates generally to a packaging and more particularly, to. a padding for the packaging of electrical devices.
Background of the invention
Switchgear devices such as circuit breakers, contain several components and linkages that are very important for functioning thereof, Accordingly, a packaging of the circuit breakers has to ensure that no damage occurs to product inside the packaging while transit. There should be no damage during transit/storage,
loading/unloading, impact/jerks and the like.
Conventionally, electrical devices such as circuit breakers are stacked one over the other during transshipment and storage. Stacking load of product placed above, are being experienced by below placed carton/sleeve/outer packaging material along with internal packaging components that plays an important role in a load distribution process. If such load bearing components dislocates from their position then they do not bear and distribute the load effectively, which further results in damage/collapsing the stacked product packaging/deforming the shape.
In prior arts, due to absence of this component, incidences were noted for damage/collapsing the stacked product /deforming the shape of product and packaging as load bearing component were dislocating from their intended position.
Accordingly, there is a need of a padding for the packaging of electrical devices that

overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art.
Object of the invention
An object of the present invention is to locate, support and distribute/absorb the shock of load bearing components in a packaging of switchgear products like circuit breakers.
Summary of the invention
Accordingly, the present invention provides a padding for electrical devices. The padding comprises a first side panel, a second side panel, a front panel, a rear panel, a top panel and a bottom panel. The top panel is made of a corrugated fiberboard sheet. The top panel includes a plurality of blocks pasted on each corner on.a bottom side thereof The plurality of blocks is pasted on each corner on the bottom side of the top panel using an adhesive. Each block of the plurality of blocks includes a slot on a bottom side thereof. The first side panel and the second side panel include a load bearing component configured therein. The first side panel and the second side panel are secured in the slots of the plurality of blocks of the top panel. The slots prevent movement and deformation of the first side panel and the second side panel.
Brief description of the drawings
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a top panel of a padding for electrical devices, in accordance with the present invention;
Figure 2 shows a lengthwise side view of the top panel of figure 1;

Figure 3 shows a widthwise side view of the top panel of figure 1;
Figure 4 is a side view showing the electrical device mounted on a bottom panel of
the padding; and
Figure 5 is a perspective view of the padding of figure 4.
Detailed description of the invention
The foregoing objects of the present invention are accomplished and the problems and shortcomings associated with the prior art, techniques and approaches are overcome by the present invention as described below in the preferred embodiment.
The present invention provides a padding for the packaging of electrical devices. The padding is designed to act as a locator, supporter, protector and shock absorber in the packaging of electrical devices. Particularly, the padding is used as locator and supporter for loose packaging of components used in the packaging of switchgear products.
The present invention is illustrated with reference to the accompanying drawings, throughout which reference numbers in bracket indicate corresponding parts in the various figures.
Referring to figures 1-4, a padding (100) for electrical devices (200) in accordance with the present invention is illustrated. The padding (100) is made from a corrugated fiberboard sheet (not shown). The fiberboard sheet is a Kraft paper that is commonly known as a corrugated fiberboard sheet (hereinafter "CFB sheet").

The padding (100) is designed to act as a locator, supporter, protector and shock absorber in the packaging of the electrical devices (200). Particularly, the padding (100) is used as locator and supporter for loose packaging of components used in the packaging of switchgear products.
The padding (100) comprises a first side panel (10), a second side panel (20), a front panel (not shown), a rear panel (not shown), a top panel (30) and a bottom panel (not numbered).
The first side panel (10) and the second side panel (20) include load bearing components configured therein. The load bearing components provide effective load distribution along with shock absorption/distribution.
.The top panel (30) is rectangular and made of the CFB sheet. The top panel (30) at a bottom side (not numbered) includes a plurality of frames (26) pasted at each corner (not numbered) thereof. The plurality of frames (26) includes a plurality of blocks (24) pasted on a bottom side (not numbered) thereof. The plurality of blocks (24) and the plurality of frames (26) are pasted on the top panel (30) using an adhesive material. The plurality of blocks (24) and the plurality of frames (26) may be stitched or attached using folding pins/staples at required positions on the bottom side of the top panel (30) in other alternative embodiments of the padding (100). Each block of the plurality of blocks (24) includes a slot (22) at a bottom side (not numbered) thereof. The slots (22) are configured to receive the first side panel (10) and the second side panel (20). In an embodiment, the padding (100) is of a rectangular shape. However, it is understood that other alternative shapes of the padding (100) like polygonal shape may be used in other alternative embodiments of the packaging.

As shown in figures 3 and 4, the electrical device (200) is mounted on the bottom panel and covered by a polythene sheet (not shown). The first side panel (10) and the second panel (20) are then placed on the bottom panel along the width thereof. The top panel is then mounted on the first side panel (10) and the second side panel (20) such that the panels (10, 20) gets secured in the slots (22) of the top panel (30). In an embodiment, the grammage, bursting strength and dimensions of the padding (100) is decided based on the weight and outer dimensions of the electrical device (200) and the packaging components.
Advantages of the invention:
1. The padding (100) provides reliable support for the load bearing components thereby preventing dislocation thereof.
2. The padding (100) absorbs and distributes the inclined impacts thereby preventing entire package from damage.
3. The padding (100) is light in weight and eventually contributes for lighter weight of the packed product.
4. The padding (100) is easy to manufacture and assemble.
5. The stiffness of the padding (100) prevents load bearing components from dislocating and the flexibility of the padding (100) absorbs and distributes the shocks/impacts experienced during transshipment and storing. Hence damage/collapsing the stacked product packaging/deforming the shape is prevented.
6. The padding (100) is used as locator for stack load bearing component in switchgear products.
The foregoing objects of the invention are accomplished and the problems and shortcomings associated with prior art techniques and approaches are overcome by

the present invention described in the present embodiment. Detailed descriptions of
the preferred embodiment are provided herein; however, it is to be understood that
the present invention may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific details
disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but rather as a basis for the
claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the
present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure, or matter.
The embodiments of the invention as described above and the methods disclosed herein will suggest further modification and alterations to those skilled in the art. Such further modifications and alterations may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

We Claim:
1. A padding (100) for electrical devices (200), the padding (100)
comprising a first side panel (10), a second side panel (20), a front panel, a rear
panel, a top panel (30) and a bottom panel,
characterized in that the top panel (30) having a plurality of blocks (24) pasted on each corner on a bottom side thereof, each block of the plurality of blocks (24) having a slot (22) on a bottom side thereof; and
