Abstract: A paper sheet storage device (1) comprises: a storage chamber (10) in which paper sheets (B) inclined relative to the horizontal direction are stored in a storage space (S) that has a smaller width than the paper sheets (B); and guide units (21 to 24) which guide the paper sheets (B) such that the paper sheets (B) freely fall in the storage space (S) while all sides of the paper sheets (B) are at angles different from the horizontal direction.
