Abstract: This machine is useful in uprooting herbs and shrubs like Parthenium hysterophorus, Withania somnifera ,Lawsonia inermis , maize etc. This machine works on the principle of first kind of leaver. The manual force applied in downward direction and it generates 8 times greater uplift force is created to uproot the plant. It is very low cost instrument. It is very useful to formers and Ayurveda doctors
Technical field of Invention:-
The Following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
[001] Present invention in general relates to the field of mechanical and agricultural and more specifically to uprooting shrub type plants like parthenium and harvesting brinjal and maize plant from the field.
(002)-The present invention is related to a low-cost tool to uproot Parthenium heterophorias without touching.
(003)- The present invention works on a mechanics which uproot the toxic plant, comprising a holding nut, toothed plate, spring unit and clutch system using with low manual force.
Background of the invention:-
[002] India is agricultural country; our agriculture is suffering from parthenium weedicide it is shrub type plant which after cutting the main stem, it gets more branched in few days. The only way to abolish it, is to root out the plant from the fields.
(3) While using the spade or buckle, a man has to sit near the shrub. Leaves of the scrub produces skin allergy to the farmers.
(4) Flowers of the parthenium produces asthma and bronchitis to the people who lives near these plants.
(5) On the roadside the soil is very hard where cutting with buckle or spade is the only way to clear the weedicide, which again gets branched in rainy season.
(6) Grown up brinjal plant is branched in about one-meter diameter. While harvesting of grown up plants of brinjal with buckle or spade, it is difficult to reach near the base of stem, formers are facing with all the above problems. I was in search of any machine which can solve the above problems.
(7) Prior art machines:-
(A) :- Publication Number:- CN205946 514U
Its drilling type machine with hollow stock and connecting rod that is rotated with help of handle. Lower end is connected with a bull stick that cuts the weed and penetrate in the soil. It is used in garden. The weed is pushed into the machine and handle is rotated, the weed is cut down with the help of bull stick
(B) :- Publication Number:- CN104756623B
This innovation is related to dry land seedling and weed pulling device. This device is drilling type machine for pulling weeds and various seedling in planting manual cultivating principle. This device contains wheel and handle. Movable handle is capable of moving up and down fixedly arranged in group. Target is clamped and pulled up .
(C) :- publication Number:- DE202016004795U1
It is particularly used for evulsion, uprooting moss or weeds. It moves on wheel which is connected by guide and base has comb type to collect moss.
(D) :- US8820426B2
it is vertically rotating device that is driven by motor. Rotating is composite cutter through the shaft the weed , leaves and roots broke down
(E) :- US4791995A
It is manual tiller mulcher and weedertool. It has an elongated up right handle having its lower connected plate which has a series of tins in downwards . moving forward it collects weeds on the surface.
(F) :- US5004283A
its rotary weed extractor. It has spies mounted at lower end of a torque bar An ejector is fitted that cleans the spike. Rotation the torture bar the spike engage
weed from ground . The weed expelled manually.
Our instrument is quite different in the sense that a staff member, need not to push any toxic plant into rubber grips. The pointed tips of the jaws penetrates 2cm into the soil to grip the root of the weed, it creates eight times strong uplift force to the man power. Invention CN205946 514U is mainly related to pull rice shoot and to plant seedlings. It can only pull superficial weeds of seedbed. Our design is quite different and it can pull out rice shoots as well as shrubs, brinjal and maize plant. The machine DE202016004795U1 is rolling type machine is only useful to remove for small seedling weeds containing two to ten leaves or for moss. This machine is quite different to our machine which works on the principle of lever and useful for deeply rooted herbs. US8820426B2 is motor driven weeding machine which does not uproot instead it drills it and cut the weed, in the case of parthenium plant it is not useful because, if it is not uprooted it will grow again with more branches. US4791995A is a hoe type machine having tines to remove weeds of small size. It has no resemblance with our machine. US5004283A is rotatory weed extractor, its working depth is limited and is useful in wet soil. It can't uproot the whole root of a weed, our machine exerts 8 times stronger uplift mussel power, depending on effort arm of the lever machine. US5004283A machine contains a steel blade that slides underneath the soil. It can be useful for very soft soil.
Object of the innovation
(1):- Unavailability of machine that can solve our problems, led us to make a machine that can be used to remove toxic shrubs as well as medicinal shrubs with
its roots. My machine solves the above problems to root out parthenium or brinjal plants from soft or hard soil both.
(2):-The instrument of the previous art either destroyed the root are useful for soft soil. On the other hand this invention is useful to pick up the root underneath the soil.
(3):- This instrument is manually driven which creates 8rth times to manual force because it works on the principle of first kind of lever.
(4):- Instruments made on the previous art needs manual up lift power where as in this novel instrument direction of the power applied in downward direction. So one can apply more manual power in downward direction. It is easier to apply manual force.
(5):- It is useful in harvesting of brinjal, maize, millet etc because farmers has to dig roots manually before ploughing the field.
(6):- It is useful to tough and soft roots both using rubber jaws Gripe which is very useful in digging roots of the ayurvedic roots.
Detailed description:-
(1) All available machines design on the patent structures, are either hand driven or high-power driven machines. While our machine is also hand driven machine but it is quite different in the view that the direction of the manual force applied is downward
(2) In the previous designs the force is applied in the upward direction. One common man can apply only 300 Newton to 400 Newton muscle force in in upward direction and also one has to apply minimum 50 Newton force to uplift the weight of machine. Our machine works on the principle of the first kind of lever in which the direction of the force applied is in the downward direction and manifold power of force is created on the other tip Of the lever. No need to uplift the machine because it moves on wheel.
(3) In our machine since the effort arm is 8 times to load arm hence muscle force is converted into 8 times lever torque.
(4) moreover the manual force applied on the liver is in the downward direction while the torque developed is in upward direction which uproots the parthenium or brinjal plant. A man can apply about 500N muscle force in downward direction, according to his weight. So, the torque developed 4kN in the upward direction to uproot the strongly and deeply rooted shrubs.
(005) This machine moves on wheel which is easier to be handled by women also because it need not to lift the machine while moving from plant to plant.
(006) The stem of the shrub is taken in between the jaws(l) and jaws(2) are closed with the help of clutch wire(10) tightly. The effort arm of the machine is pushed down.
The plant roots come up 3cm. Holding the clutch(13) tightly machine is drawn back until whole root comes up. Releasing the clutch(13), the machine is rolled to another
plant. Advance part of the jaws of the machine is pointed which can be inserted into soil to catch the root below the ground level. During harvesting of stems of brinjal,
maize, millet and sugarcane it is necessary to dig out deeply rooted stems before ploughing. This work is well done with the help of the machine. In Ayurveda roots of
many shrubs are used which need to dig the soil with hard toil, but this machine is very useful to uproot the shrubs like lemon grass, ashwagandha, henna etc.
Structure of the machine
1- Iron pipe (11) of half inch diameter and 125 cm long is used as effort arm.
2- 2- 2 mm thick and 6x8 cm 2 size iron plate is used as base plate(7).
3- 3- 5 cm long two jaws(l) (2) of saw tooth type is fitted on the base plate(7).
4- 4- two wheels(6) of 6 cm diameter are fitted below the base plate(7).
5- 5- a clutch wire(10) is connected with one jaw(l) to catch the stem of shrub tightly and other end of the wire is connected to clutch(13) near handle(12).
