Pasting Of Flexible Packaging Material

Abstract: A belt system (106) for supporting a portion (126) of a flattened tube of flexible packaging (102) material on a rotating drum (112) is described. The belt system (106) comprises a connecting base (202), a first roller (118), a second roller (120), a third roller (122), a fourth roller (124), and a belt (114) travelling between the four rollers. The first roller (118) and the second roller (120) are in close proximity with an outer surface (110) of the rotating drum (112). The belt travels (114) around a portion of a circumference (212) of the outer surface (110) when the belt (114) travels between the first roller (118) and the second roller (120). The travel of the belt (114) is such that it supports the portion (126) of the flattened tube of flexible packaging material (102) along the outer surface (110).
