Abstract: According to an embodiment, a patient shifting pallet (100) is disclosed. The patient shifting pallet (100) includes a rectangular plastic board (102) configured to fit the patient along the longer side of the rectangular plastic board (102), the rectangular plastic board (102) having a curve profile such that the curve is between the longer sides of the rectangular plastic board (102), wherein the longer sides of the rectangular board (102) are tapered along the edges to facilitate in shifting the patient to the rectangular plastic board (102), and wherein the curve of the rectangular plastic board (102) facilitates in keeping the patient in position such that the patient doesn’t fall.
The present invention relates generally to the field of devices for assisting patient in case of medical emergencies. More specifically, the present invention relates to patient shifting pallet.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] : As it is observed in many OPD's, OT's and in general patient ward, whenever it is required to shift the patient from the stretcher to the bed or from the bed to stretcher, we need at least three to four people to assist the job. Sometimes people used to use bedsheets to lift the patient body, in some cases people try to lift the patient body by their own, which totally is unsafe as far as the health of the patient is concerned. In the present invention, the efforts has been made to provide a convenient solution to shift the patient without any damage to his or her health.
[0004] In some previous inventions some inventors have developed the similar type of roller board to execute this similar job, but in their board it is required to tilt the patient body about perpendicular to the bed, so that board can be easily put under the patient. But if patient is critically ill or having some ruptured bone problem, this kind of sliding board can increase the problem.
[0005] Therefore, there is a need in the art for patient shifting pallet, that seeks to overcome short-comings highlighted above and utilize techniques, which are robust, portable, efficient, cost-effective system.
