Abstract: ABSTRACT Our Invention “Patient Turner BED” is a patient rotating bed is a specialized medical device designed to address the challenges of immobility and extended bed rest. It gently rotates the patient's body at programmed intervals to prevent issues such as pressure ulcers and respiratory complications. The bed's design aims to enhance patient comfort, reduce the risk of complications, and ease the burden on healthcare providers by automating the repositioning process. As a valuable tool in patient care, rotating beds contribute to improved overall well-being for individuals facing prolonged periods of bed rest due to illness, surgery, or other medical conditions.
Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
Our Invention is related to a Patient Turner BED.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The primary goal of this study, which is being developed within the framework of ambient assisted living (AAL), is to create a mechatronic system that will enable a single person to provide continuous medical care to bedridden patients.
The Medical Care Terminal (MCT) enhances bedridden patients' safety, comfort, cleanliness, and autonomy in home care. Six biological sensors and four environmental sensors are present in the MCT.
The Arduino and LabVIEW platforms are used for data processing and acquisition, respectively. The major characteristic of the suggested solution is its flexibility to meet the demands of the patient. Remote patient data access over the internet is one of the MCT's features.
A professional who provides information in real time to conduct first aid assistance may be called upon by the caregiver. Because of its adaptable design, this equipment may be quickly and affordably reconfigured to meet the individual demands of each patient.
In addition to facilitating remote patient monitoring, the suggested mechatronic system aims to address the demands of bedridden patients by enhancing their comfort, safety, and quality of life.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
1) The objective of the invention is to provide a rotating bed is a specialized medical device designed to address the challenges of immobility and extended bed rest.
2) The other objective of the invention is to provide a It gently rotates the patient's body at programmed intervals to prevent issues such as pressure ulcers and respiratory complications.
3) The other objective of the invention is to provide a bed's design aims to enhance patient comfort, reduce the risk of complications, and ease the burden on healthcare providers by automating the repositioning process.
4) The other objective of the invention is to provide a As a valuable tool in patient care, rotating beds contribute to improved overall well-being for individuals facing prolonged periods of bed rest due to illness, surgery, or other medical conditions.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This part presents the created system's operating concept, which includes the development of the hardware and software.
The hardware system, MCT-using sensors, software acquisition, data processing, and remote connection system are all specifically covered in depth.
The LabVIEW program was utilized to construct the user interface, while the Arduino platform was utilized to read environmental and biological sensors.
In the first scenario, each sensor has a guide and an interface that is specifically designed for it, where alerts and both the real and predicted readings are recorded. To facilitate additional investigation, the sensor readings can be stored in an Excel file.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Mechanism
The mechanism of a patient rotating bed involves a motorized system integrated into the bed frame. This system allows controlled and automated rotation of the mattress or the entire bed platform.
Application
Patient rotating beds are specialized medical devices designed for individuals requiring extended bed rest due to illness, surgery, or other medical conditions. These beds feature a motorized mechanism that allows controlled and automated rotation of the patient's body at programmed intervals.
The applications of rotating beds include pressure ulcer prevention, respiratory care, promotion of muscle and joint health, enhancement of patient comfort and sleep quality, assistance for caregivers, support for post-surgical recovery, and utilization in long-term care facilities.
The beds contribute to improved patient outcomes by addressing complications associated with immobility and enhancing overall well-being.
The creation of a Medical Care Terminal (MCT) that may be a part of a mechatronic system and enable patients who are bedridden to be monitored remotely is described in this study.
Giving the caregiver the capacity to continuously observe the patient and the surroundings in which he or she is situated is the primary goal of the task. Additionally, it permits distant connection with authentication.
The designed system's biological sensors enable the following actions: (i) Temperature of body (BT).Galvanic skin resistance (GSR) is the second. Electrocardiogram (ECG) (iii).(iv) Oxygen content.(v) Physical posture.(vi) Inhale.
The system's integrated environmental sensors enable the following actions:(i) The air's alcohol content.(ii)Airborne concentration of carbon monoxide.(iii) Clarity.(iv) The temperature.
Comparing this system to those that are commercially available, it offers the following three primary advantages :( i) because step-by-step instructions for using the program and applying sensors are provided, even an old person using the interface may do so with ease.
To put it briefly, it can be operated correctly without the need for specific understanding.(ii) It is customized to meet the demands of a particular patient since the system may be set up based on the measures that particular patient needs.t.
Furthermore, because of the system's modular architecture and the actions that follow from the measurements taken, adding more sensors is simple.(iii) It is an inexpensive solution, with an anticipated retail price of less than 1 Euro, making it suitable even for consumer markets with tight budgets.
MCT was evaluated on two healthy individuals in a laboratory setting. Additionally, this system is ready for the following modifications: (i) wireless sensor transmission, which reduces intrusion and improves usability, based on the preferences of the end user's family; (ii) the addition of additional functions, such as interfaces for smartphones and tablets.
This is an option of configuration that can be chosen by the final user’s family. To accomplish the objectives of the overall project, MCT is part of the mechatronic system to assist bedridden patients.
