Specification

PCB Extractor
Field Of The Invention
A tool which can easily extract the printed circuit board from assembled avionics unit.
Back ground Of The Invention
At the time of disassembly of the units, it was hard task to extract cards from the unit through
hands as the connectors mounted on the PCBs are perfectly matched and PCBs are mounted with
electronic components on both sides, hence no space available for extraction .
Summary Of The present Invention
In accordance with one aspect of present invention is to provide a tool that facilitates effective
extraction of the Printed Circuit Board.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention is to provide a tool that requires few M
components.
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is to ensure availability of maximum space
on the printed circuit board for mounting of electrical components.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a more rigid extraction
tool.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a smaller extraction tool.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a lighter extraction tool.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a tool that can be properly
and effectively utilized to extract the PCB by lesser skilled individuals.
Brief Description Of The drawing
The features of the present invention will become more apparent and descriptive in the
description when considered the mechanical drawing. The dwg. (fig 1) shows that the PCB
Annexure‐II
Extractor comprises of following main mechanical components:‐
a)D slide plate :‐ The plate is made in a way that hand can easily hold the tool.
b)Extracting pins:‐ These two pins are inserted in the D slide plate for extraction of PCB.
c)Holder Plate:‐ The holder plare holds the D slide plate with the help of allen screws.
d)Springs:‐Springs are used with allen screws for required extraction force.
Detail description of the Invention
The invention PCB Extractor is a simple novel extraction tool which requires fewer components and
all the M parts of the tools are manufactured of al. alloy which ensures the light weight .
In the tool as the pins gets engaged in the holes of PCB,it transmits extraction force through the
compression of the springs attached in the holder of the tool.
In the unit, printed circuit board are mounted and assemled with their end connectors perfectly
matched and electronic components are mounted on both sides of the PCBs .
The PCB Extractor extracts the pcb without interfering the components and extract the pcb with
minimal effort. The extractor tool is designed in a way that it safely engages the printed circuit
board with the help of pins and extracts it with the help of spring loaded holder.
Referring to mechanical drawing of the present invention, it is obvious that in PCB Extractor the
Holder plate is attached to the D Slide Plate through Allen Screws.
The D Slide Plate slides with in the Holder Plate as a proper clearance maintained between the Holder
Plate and D Slide Plate.
The spring provides the required extraction force for extracting the PCB, as moving D slide plate slides
within the Holder Plate to facilitate extraction.
The tool ensures maximum accessibility for electronic components along with light weight and rigidity.
The Extractor extracts the PCB with minimal force, as the pins inserted in the D Slide Plate gets
engaged with the holes of the PCB, and the required extraction force is produced by the compression
of the spring.
The Extractor is so easy to use that it requires less skilled individual to operate.

We Claim
