Abstract: A device 100 for dispensing disinfectant fluid is disclosed. The device 100 includes a barrel having an elongated shape to accommodate fluid therein, and a tip 106 disposed at a first end of the barrel 102 to facilitate dispensing of the fluid from the barrel 102, a cover 110 disposed at a second end of the barrel 102 that facilitates in refilling the fluid into the barrel 102, an actuator disposed on the barrel 102, the actuator being configured to move a closure 202 in between a stationary position and an actuated position. Upon actuation of the actuator 112, the closure 202 moved from stationary position to the actuated position within the barrel 102, thus enables the fluid to be dispensed through the tip 106.
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates, in general, to fluid dispenser, and more specifically, relates to a portable device for accommodating and dispensing fluid such as soap, disinfectant, sanitizer, and antimicrobial solution, which enables a user to disinfect hands, and any surface easily.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Covid-19 badly affected everyday life of the human beings throughout the world. In today’s scenario, it is necessary to be safe from the covid-19 or any other contagious diseases. Every day, it can be heard in the news that covid cases are rising among each age groups of the human.
[0003] To be safe, some precautions suggested by WHO (World Health Organization) such physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue. Maintain at least a 1-metre distance between yourself and others to reduce your risk of infection, wear a mask. To wear a mask clean your hands before you put your mask on, as well as before and after you take it off, and after you touch it at any time and make sure mask covers your nose, mouth and chin. Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. This eliminates germs including viruses that may be on your hands.
[0004] It has been widely reported that spread of infectious diseases by hands of healthcare, caregiver, and infected person is a serious issue nowadays. It becomes difficult for everyone to get the soap everywhere to wash and clean hands and especially for the kids it becomes more difficult to keep soap in pocket always. People may be working at different places and time, kids also goes outside in garden, school, and tuitions. Therefore, while going outside chances of physical interaction with outer world are increasing.
[0005] Effective hand washing is the need of the hour mainly after current pandemic. It is known that the immune system fights with organisms like viruses, bacteria and protozoa etc. every day to keep us healthy. There is therefore an ongoing fight between various organisms and our own immune system, wherein if the number of organisms is less than critical value our body owns and we stay healthy, whereas if the load of number of organisms is higher than the threshold, our body cannot fight with the larger number of organisms and as a result we fall sick.
[0006] Many hand sanitizer are available in the market in large size and small size, but we have to carry phone, purse, and many things with us always, thus mostly we keeps available hand sanitizer in our bags, and it’s not easy for us to find out hand sanitizer in the bag every time we touch a surface. Also, for children it is difficult to open and close the cap of existing sanitizer by applying force. Therefore we need a device which can be clipped to our clothes, pockets and bags easily, and even a child can use it without using extra force.
[0007] There is therefore a need in the art to provide a portable and easy to use device to clean hand easily that overcomes the aforementioned challenges.

The actuator can be selected from a group consisting of, but not limited to push-button, knob, switch, and key.
[0044] In an embodiment, shape of device 100 can be similar to shape of a writing device i.e. pen, marker, and the likes, but there is no refill in the device 100, it can be used to store and dispense fluid only.
[0045] Referring to FIG. 2A, where an exemplary internal view of device 100 in stationary positioned is disclosed. The device can include a closure 202 inside the barrel, which can be moved in between in between a stationary position and an actuated position. The tip 106 can have an opening to allow fluid from the barrel 102, the opening can be opened and closed with the closure 202. The closure 202 can include a plate 204 coupled at an end of a shaft 206, the plate can be rectangular, circular, and the likes, and another end of the shaft 206 can be coupled with the actuator 112. When the device 100 is not in use, the closure 202 can be in stationary position covering the opening of the tip 106, and upon actuation of the actuator 112, the shaft 206 can be moved downward, consequently moving the plate 204 downwards from stationary position to actuated position (as shown in FIG. 2B), thus enables the fluid to be flowed from the barrel 102 to the tip 108.
[0046] In an exemplary embodiment, to use the device 100, the cap 116 can be removed from the device 100 and the button 112 can be pressed, upon pressing the button, the closure 202 can be moved to uncover the opening provided in the tip 106, and sanitizer can be dispensed from the device 100 easily. The cap 116 can be closed after using the device 100 to prevent leakage, when the button is pressed unintentionally in the pocket or bag. Also, the cover 110 can be opened to refill the fluid in the device 100 easily.
