, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to the field of computer graphics, and more specifically, to a method and system for pest control management system for farming using augmented reality technology.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Pest control are used to control diseases, pests or weeds. Pest control is based on substances that are toxic (poisonous) to the pests involved. Pesticides are applied to protect plants from pests, diseases or overgrowth by weeds.
Some pest is beneficiary to growth of crop. So, removal of that pest is not needed.
In the general method of pest control management, farmer has to inspect all the crops time to time to see whether any crop get infected or not. If any crop get pest then immediate pest control should be done, otherwise too late may affect loss of yield.
Artificial technology solves problems for this in some way but not in total way. With proper track of crop growth, it suggests farmer for pest control. But main problem is that, it cannot identify whether there any disease or pest which is infected to crop. It follows only time chart. And some pest is beneficiary to crop growth. But use of pest control destroy that pest.
The present invention suggests the solution to above problems. It solves the problem of pest control management system using augmented reality technology.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
Augmented reality farming refers to the application of AR techniques to farming. AR techniques may be used to overlay sensor data, previous crop imagery,
or other information over a farmer's visual reality with a view to improving pest management.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, to manage pest control system in farming using augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, number of sensors are used for augmented reality.
Other object of the invention is, due to augmented reality technology farmer can clearly see any infected crop using smart phone with zooming functionality.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the pest control management system for farming using augmented reality technology. The system and method comprising of:
Capturing raw image data of crop using sensor / camera which is installed to farm. Then transferring the raw image data to server. The processor generates geo-referenced data from the raw image data at server. The geo-referenced data send to wireless device which has second sensor. Capture live image data of crop using sensor mounted wireless device. Overlaying the geo-referenced data on the live image data to generate the augmented reality at the wireless device.
The apparatus such as a data processing system, a method for adapting same having program instructions recorded thereon for identification of pest and then suggesting the pest control system.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the pest control management system for farming using augmented reality technology.
The present invention system is comprising of contents such as;
Data processing system- refer to any machine for processing data (which include computer systems, wireless devices and network arrangement for them)
Sensor/ Cameras- to capture image of crop
The present invention implemented in a combination of hardware and software.
Data processing system includes programming instruction. These instructions are helpful in detecting the pest type of crop and also suggesting the solution for it. It stored with data such as number of pests, type of pest, usefulness of that pest and treatment for it.
The present invention system is comprising of;
Step 1) The farmer/user which sensor has to use for capturing of the image of crop.
Step 2) With selected sensor raw image for particular part of crop is taken.
Step 3) The raw image has transferred to server.
Step 4) With the help of processor the raw image data has transferred to geo-referenced data.
Step 5) The geo-referenced data has sent to the wireless device which has second sensor mounted on it.
Step 6) The wireless device which has second sensor mounted on it, capture live image of crop.
Step 7) Augmented reality at the wireless device created by overlaying the geo-referenced data on the live image data.
Step 8) The data processing system, having program instructions recorded thereon for identification of pest and then suggesting the pest control system.
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
The agriculture system might seem a simple and straightforward thing on an apparent level – just sow the seeds and reap the harvest. But it is not as simple as that. On the contrary it involves a whole lot of knowledge, effort and scientific approach so as to say.
The task gets even more difficult as the demands of crops are going up day by day to feed the ever-increasing population. Thanks to the ever-advancing development of science and technology which is empowering the agricultural system with a number of related products and tools to cope with the gaping demands. And among those scientific tools and weapons Augmented Reality is the newest addition.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
Some species of pest are useful for growth of crop. Not all pest is harmful. In conventional farming pest control management destroy the all pest, which is not necessary at all.
But in augmented reality technology, user/ farmer can see properly the type of pest on crop in minute. And augmented reality technology suggests, prevention of crop by proper classification of pest and treatment for it.
In market some products related to augmented reality technology is available. These products are use to capture image and giving all data regarding target area. With the augmented reality view of that particular target area, all the information is seen on screen of user/farmer.
Still it is not in so much practice, but in near future it would be more workable.
And it will definitely change the face on farming in coming future.
