Abstract: Pet adoption system by using blockchain technology is disclosed includes web application; any electronic computing device which has active internet connection; pet database and backend server. The invention application used to track and maintain pet adoption system with the help of blockchain technology.
Claims:We claim:
1) Pet adoption system by using Blockchain Technology is comprising of:
a. The web application for pet adoption system – used for maintaining the records of pet and their adoption;
b. Any electronic computing device which has active internet connection – used for interacting with web application;
c. Pet Database – used for saving records related to pet and their adoption; and
d. Backend server – database and application are stored
wherein, through an electronic device the said application can be accessed through which the said user can get information related to pet and their adoption system.
2) Method for pet adoption system by using blockchain technology is comprising the steps of:
a. Starting the pet adoption web application through an electronic device;
b. Authority member add record of new pet by submitting all details of pet with specifying any special mark on body of pet to the application;
c. At backend server, new data block is created for new pet;
d. Smart contract is created between new pet and pet adoption system;
e. Storing the data into the database in cryptographic form;
f. List of available pets for adoption is shown to the web application;
g. User select pet from the pet available list for adoption and check information and images related to pet;
h. User request for selected pet adoption to the application and submit self-details and information to the application;
i. At backend server, new record is added into the data block of selected pet and data is stored into the database in cryptographic form;
j. Anyone can see the information about pet and their adoption.
3) The method claimed in claim 2, wherein said authority member add new pet into the system by submitting all required details of pets.
4) The method claimed in claim 2, wherein smart contract is created between pet and pet adoption system.
5) The method claimed in claim 2, wherein said user select the pet from the pet list which are available for adoption.
6) The method claimed in claim 2, wherein said user submits self-details with request for adoption of selected pet.
7) The system claimed in claim 1, wherein any one can see the information of pet and their adoption.
, Description:Field of the invention:
The present invention is related generally to pet care, and more particularly to pet adoption system by using blockchain technology.
Background of the invention:
Pets are not just animal but it is family member for pet owners. Pet gives human being companionship, emotional support and reduce stress level of pet owner and family member, also they reduce sense of loneliness of human being. Pet increases human’s social activities and positive emotional development.
Pet adoption is the process where human being means pet owner take a responsibility of pet where previous owner has abandoned or leave pet to shelter or sometime pet is rescued by pet organization. The main sources for pet adoption are animal shelters and rescue groups.
There are a system having pet adoption related inventions, which are patented, are listed below.
US patent application US20140285339A1 by Marc P. Thalheim discloses Computer-implemented animal shelter management system. The system provides templates which assist shelters in creating customized pet adoption applications and automatically scans responses to reject or flag applications with certain answers. The system tracks the application process, automatically assigns staff to review applications, maintains applicant denied/accepted lists, facilitates transfer of adoption documents, provides updated application status information, sends accepted applicants medical and other service-related messages, provides animal transfer information and preforms automatic background checks. The system calculates estimated pet care costs and provides for instant pet registration at external registries. A software application for smartphones/tablets allows scanning of implanted GPS microchips, tracking of animal locations, proximity detection and identification of emergency rescue services proximate the location of the animal.
US patent application US20080091556A1 by Gerard ALTIERI discloses Web-based communication tool for pet owners. The subject application is directed to a system and method for interactive communication for associated pet owners. Selection data inclusive of attraction data is first received from multiple pet owners. Selection data with respect to the multiple associated pet owners, is associated with at least one attraction module. In one embodiment, the attraction module is selected from the group consisting of meeting friends, pet advice, veterinarian answers, memorial; postings, weekly pet horoscopes, pet fashions for sale, pets in the news, and hero of the week. Next, a user interface is generated in accordance with the performed association, and displayed to the multiple pet owners. Interaction is then accomplished between the multiple associated pet owners via the user interface from remote locations.
US patent application US20120247401A1 by Roman Nolet discloses Pet Walk, Pet Tunes. The invention provides a pet music system for providing music and sound effects to pets for influencing, modifying and controlling their mood and behavior. The pet music system of the present invention comprises a portable, lightweight music player, such as an MP3 player, for example, removably attached to the collar of a pet or the halter of a large animal. The music player also incorporates at least one speaker, and a plurality of control buttons for selectively playing a song or sound effect. A pet tunes CD is pre-recorded with a variety of recordings and is transferable to the music player.
Though the prior art patent discloses Computer-implemented animal shelter management system, Web-based communication tool for pet owners and Pet Walk, Pet Tunes, they do not give any perfect solution for pet adoption system.
Blockchain is a distributed ledger, which relates to a ledger which is spread across the network with all peers in the network, and each peer holds a copy of the complete ledge but no one can change or modify any information. Blockchain is a way of keeping records and can be used in almost any product that uses some sort of record keeping or database management.
Object of the invention:
The primary object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system by using blockchain technology where user use an electronic device for getting information about pet adoption.
Another object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system where said authority member would add new pet into the system by submitting all required details of pets.
Another object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system where smart contract would be created between pet and pet adoption system.
Another object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system where said user would select the pet from the pet list which are available for adoption.
Another object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system where said user would submit self-details with request for adoption of selected pet.
Another object of the present invention is to provide pet adoption system where any one would see the information of pet and their adoption.
Summary of the invention:
The present invention discloses pet adoption system by using blockchain technology. The system for pet adoption is comprising of;

According to the present invention authority member would open the application where authority member uses the application for pet adoption system through an electronic device. Authority member would add record of new pet by submitting all details of pet with specifying any special mark on body of pet to the application. At backend server, new data block would be created for new pet. Smart contract would be created between new pet and pet adoption system. Storing the data into the database in cryptographic form. List of available pets for adoption would be shown to the web application. User would select pet from the pet available list for adoption and would check information and images related to pet. User would request for selected pet adoption to the application and would submit self-details and information to the application. At backend server, new record would be added into the data block of selected pet and data would be stored into the database in cryptographic form. Anyone would see the information about pet and their adoption.

Detailed description of the invention:
The present invention discloses pet adoption system by using blockchain technology.
Blockchain is digital database which is distributed across a network of computers. The records on blockchain are stored in the cryptographic form which protects them from editing and removing. Blockchain can be used in various fields such as financial, insurance, education, manufacturing, logistics and real estate also. Transparency is the main features of blockchain technology.
Fig.1 illustrates the system for pet adoption by using blockchain technology is comprising of contents;
The web application for pet adoption system – used for maintaining the records of pet and their adoption;
Any electronic computing device which has active internet connection – used for interacting with web application;
Pet Database – used for saving records related to pet and their adoption; and
Backend server – database and application are stored

Step 2) Authority member add record of new pet by submitting all details of pet to the application
Step 3) At backend server, new data block is created for new pet
Step 4) Smart contract is created between new pet and pet adoption system
Step 5) The data is stored into the database in cryptographic form
Step 6) List of available pets for adoption is shown to the web application
Step 7) User select pet from the pet available list for adoption and check information and images related to pet
Step 8) User request for adoption of selected pet to the application and submit self-details and information to the application
Step 9) At backend server, new record is added into the data block of selected pet and data is stored into the database in cryptographic form
Step 10) Anyone can see the information about pet and their adoption
Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed, public, digital ledger which is used for keeping record transactions across many computers so that any involved record cannot be altered retroactively and no alteration of all subsequent blocks. The present invention is based on blockchain technology. The authority member of pet adoption system adds name of pet into the application. At backend server, the name of pet is saved as data block and this data block is attached to the blockchain of system. The embodiment of invention application includes pet, where every pet is considered as data block and this data block is attached to the blockchain of system of pet adoption. Every data block is saved in the database in cryptographic form. User who want to adopt a pet, check in this web application and select the pet from the list of pets which are available for adoption. Said user request for adoption by submitting the self-details to the application. At backend server, this entry is saved as record of that particular selected pet data block. And this new entry can be seen on the application window as adoption record of selected pet.
There are some advantages of the present invention such as;
Due to blockchain, it is transparent and accurate end-to-end tracking pet adoption system.
Pet adoption community digitized physical documents and creates a decentralized immutable record of all transactions which is helpful in tracking pet and their adoption.
Blockchain technology provides verifiable and no-resistant option for sharing the data and information.
Blockchain database helps in compile data and documents from various different users in one place.
It provides secure data sharing.
It is user friendly which provides simple solution for pet adoption system which gives all information about pet and their adoptive family.
Implementation of smart contracts – Smart contracts are coded sets of rules which is triggered when a specific event occurs. In this application, smart contract is created between every pet and pet adoption system.
It keeps track on pet and their adoptive family. Due to which system can know who is actually pet owner for particular pet.
It is very user friendly.
The present invention can be better understood with the help of examples.
Example 1:
According to the present invention, B is the authority member. B wants to add new found puppy into the system for adoption purpose. B open the application and add details of puppy and submit it to the application. The record of puppy is saved in the database and the puppy name is showing in the list of pets which are available for adoption.
Example 2:
According to the present invention, P is the user who want to adopt a puppy from the system. P opens the application and check the list of pets which are available for adoption in the application. P find puppy rocky is suitable for P’s home, so P choose puppy rocky and request for adoption and enter self-details into the application. By verifying P data, adoption process proceeds and adoption is granted to P.

The present invention is not limited to components, which is mentioned in the description. Based on the same concept, pet adoption system can be built.
