Abstract: Abstract The presented invention disclosed the phytoconstituents base patch to deliver the medicament in vapor form to relieve symptoms of the common cold such as nasal congestion or runny nose and chronic conditions like rhinitis. Traditional Indian Herbal Medicine is used for the preparation of vapor patches. Either or all of these ingredients are used to make the vapor patches: In w/v and v/v percentages: Mentha piperita 2-10%, Cinnamomum camphora 2-8%, Eucalyptus globulus 0.5- 4%, Thymus vulgaris 0.5-5%. Indian herbal medicaments used in this vapor patch are essential oils in nature. Essential oils are incorporated into the patch followed by delivering the medicament in vapor form to the user. Essential oils used in patches are volatile in nature and deliver the volatile medication into the nostrils. The herbal (plant-based) essential oils were wrapped in a protective film fixed on the middle layer of the medical knitted fabric or non-woven fabric. Phytoconstituents-based patches are prepared by reasonably compounding various effective components and have a better treatment effect on symptoms of the common cold and chronic condition rhinitis. The patches are non-invasive in nature and need not be touchable on the skin. The invention has the benefits of low cost, patient compliance, and ease of use. The natural essential oil-based vapor patches are safe and long-lasting, patches can be used by children.
