Specification

The present invention relates to the "Pillion handle of motorcycle" and more particularly to the construction of the said pillion handle to reduce the vibration levels.
In any motorcycle used for carrying at least two persons, pillion handle is mounted on the rear part of the vehicle behind the seat. This is provided to facilitate the pillion rider to sit firmly on the vehicle by holding onto the pillion handle while the vehicle is on the move. Additionally, it is also used to hold and put the vehicle on stand. Normally the said pillion handle is fixed by any known means onto the frame structure. In the prior art the pillion handle is made of a tubular structure or Aluminum die cast. Depending upon the speed of the vehicle, the pillion rider is subjected to vibration on his/her hands and hence the said pillion handle is sufficiently stiffened to dampen the vibration. This adds to the weight and cost of the pillion handle, which in turn increases the weight of the vehicle.
Hence the objective of the invention is to provide a pillion handle for a motorcycle, which is relatively having less weight, lower cost and lower level of vibration.
According to the present invention, the motorcycle comprises of a pillion handle mounted onto the frame structure. The said pillion handle is of moulded resin with steel plate placed inside at a predetermined location. The resin material is of injection-moulded polymer.
