Planetary Wheel Drive Using Bushings

Abstract: ABSTRACT A planetary wheel drive uses: main bushings affixed to a rotatable housing between a stationary spindle permitting the rotatable output housing to rotate with respect to the stationary spindle, and, planet bushings affixed to rotatable planet gear between a planet pin permitting the planet gear to rotate with respect to the planet pin. The main bushings have two sides, a first side which is press fit into the rotatable output housing and a second side which includes a sliding layer which mates with a surface of the stationary housing.
