Plated Steel Material

Abstract: Adopted is a plated steel material, wherein: a plating layer has an average chemical composition comprising, by mass%, more than 50.00% of Zn, more than 15.0% but less than 30.0% of Al, more than 5.0% but less than 15.0% of Mg, 0.25% to less than 3.50% of Si, and impurities; the total amount (SA) of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Sn, Bi, and In is less than 1.00%; the total amount (SB) of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Ca, Y, La, Ce, and Sr is 0.02% to less than 0.60%; 2.0 = Mg/Si < 20.0 (expression 1), 3.0 = Si/SB < 24.0 (expression 2), and 26.0 = (Si/SB) x (Mg/Si) < 375.0 (expression 3) are satisfied; and in an X-ray diffraction pattern of the plating layer surface, a diffraction intensity ratio R1 as defined by R1 = {I (16.18°) + I (32.69°)}/I (27.0°) (expression 4) satisfies 2.5 < R1 (expression 5).
