Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present methodology can be used for mounting of objects whose parameters
are highly sensitive to the incoming disturbing vibratory energy generated by nearby
equipment or activity. The methodology of fixing of surface plate and base plate
over isolated foundation can be used to increase the surface area of the isolated
foundation by adjusting the dimensions of plate.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Revolving tables are used for determination of angular velocities, angular
position, and linear acceleration, deviation with respect to previous position of
navigation systems. Depend upon the usages it may be of single axis, two axes as
well as of three axes also.
These revolving tables are properly aligned and calibrated as per the desired
reference and its initial aligned positions are stored in its controlling PCs. Alignment
of these revolving tables are highly sensitive to disturbing vibratory energy generated
from the nearby equipments or activities.
The nearby equipment or activity which generates the disturbing vibratory energy
may disturb the initial alignment of these revolving tables. In order to minimize the
influence of incoming vibratory energy over the alignment of revolving tables, said
revolving tables are mounted over the isolated foundations.
The present methodology of fixing the plates over the isolated foundation is
advantageous where surface area of the conventional foundation is less compare to
surface area required for mounting the Revolving tables or any other objects.
SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION:
I
solated foundations are basically used for mounting of objects whose accuracy of
the parameters may vary from the incoming vibratory energy generated from the
nearby equipment or activity. Transfer of the vibration from source to receiver takes
place through a common structure that is called its path. There are three effective
way of controlling the disturbing vibratory energy:
Annexure-II
1. Source Isolation
2. Path Isolation
3. Receiver Isolation
Like the most common method used in field of avionics industry is receiver isolation.
One way to achieve receiver isolation is by isolating the area where receiver is
placed from the structure that provides the path to travel the disturbing vibratory
energy to receiver.
One aspect of present invention is to provide a simplified way for fixing the plates
over the foundation. It can be properly and effectively fixed by lesser skilled
individual, no specific training is required.
Another aspect of the present invention is to provide the adjustable isolated surface
area as per the requirement of the revolving table or other object by varying the
dimensions of the plate.
Another aspect of the present invention is to provide rigid platform and mechanical
strength to Revolving table for better stability of its Initial Alignment and surface level.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The features and advantages of the present invention will become more
apparent and descriptive in the description when considering together with figures
presented:

conventional isolated foundation.
Annexure-II
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The present invention of fixing the plates over the isolated foundation is the best way
to achieve the stable alignment and surface level of the revolving tables and thus to
achieve the accurate determination of angular velocities, angular position, and linear
acceleration of navigation, orientation and of inertial measuring units. Navigational
instruments are used for determination of correct positioning of Aircraft at any point
of time. Sensors of the navigational instrument should be properly calibrated and
tested over the revolving tables to achieve the highest accuracy. Hence it is
desirous that if once the tilt revolving tables are properly aligned, its alignment
should not change over time due to incoming disturbing vibratory energy from the
nearby activity or equipment.
Referring to figs 1, 2 & 3 the present invention is the Plates for Isolated foundation
used for mounting over the conventional isolated foundation by using the
methodology of fixing as shown in figure 3.
Figure 1 shows the drawing of the Surface Plate at position no. 1, it consists of holes
for fixing it to the base plate at position no.2 by using bolt at position no.4
Dimensions of the surface plate may be adjusted to suit the requirement of the
mounting object. Surface plate may be fabricated from the material having suitable
mechanical strength.
Figure 2 shows the drawing of Base Plate at position no. 2, It also consist of holes
for fixing it to conventional Isolated foundation and Surface plate at position no. 1 by
using the mechanism shown in figure 3.
Dimensions of the base plate should correspond to surface area of the conventional
isolated foundation. Grouting of the bolt position no. 3 is carried in conventional
isolated foundation to mount the base plate position no.2
Complete mechanism of mounting of plates over conventional isolated foundation is
shown in figure 3.
Said tables are generally subjected to corrosion due to environmental factors which
is avoided by anti-corrosion coating is over the plates.
