[0025] The other objects, features and advantages will occur to those skilled in the art from the following description of the preferred embodiment and the accompanying drawings in which:
[0026] FIG. 1 illustrates a method for socio-professional networking through phonebook contacts, according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0027] FIG. 2 illustrates a block diagram of a system for socio-professional networking through the phonebook contacts, according to one embodiment of the present invention.
F) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0028] In the following detailed description, a reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which the specific embodiments that may be practiced is shown by way of illustration. The embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the embodiments and it is to be understood that the logical, mechanical and other changes may be made without departing from the scope of the embodiments. The following detailed description is therefore not to be taken in a limiting sense.
[0029] FIG. 1 illustrates a method for socio-professional networking through phonebook contacts, according to one embodiment of the present invention. The various embodiments of the present invention provide a method for socio-professional by accessing phonebook contact through a computer readable platform (101). The computer readable platform tracks a user activity history for purchasing and selling a service and a product on an online platform (102). The computer readable platform further receives a user request for a service and a product through the computer readable platform (103) and searches a first, second and third degrees contacts in a phonebook of the user on the basis of the received query (104). The computer readable platform further searches a likelihood of completing the query by associating the contacts in the phonebook with the query (105). The query is associated with history of purchasing and selling a service and a product by a phonebook contact.
[0030] FIG. 2 illustrates a block diagram of a system for socio-professional networking through the phonebook contacts, according to one embodiment of the present invention. With respect to FIG. 2, the computer readable platform 201 is installed on a user computing device 202 and connected to a central server 203. The central server 203 resides at a remote location and accesses a plurality of online platforms 204. The computer readable platform 201 is further connected with a phonebook 205 of the user computing device 202 and sends a query to a plurality of first-order contacts on the phonebook. The plurality of computer readable platforms are connected with each other through the central server and accesses the second-order and third-order contact in phonebook of respective user computing devices. The query posting and results retrieving process is propagated in a parallel propagation format from one computer readable program to a plurality of computer readable platforms.
[0031] The concept of computer readable platform is to give users a tool that enables them to search and explore their phone book contacts to find people who are capable of fulfilling their needs. The contact list in the phone book of a user is essential means of computer readable platform to conduct its search for giving out search results.
[0032] The scope is not limited to just finding service providers locally or making people avail services you can provide. It is being made potent enough for people to use this app as a pain killer to a lot many of their problems. For instance, as a user is able to sell and buy used stuff (for instance: OLX, furlenco, carwale etc.), search for bride/groom or post a profile for someone to find (for instance: any matrimonial site), sell and buy real estate (for instance: 99acres.com, housing.com etc.), find a founder or join a co-founder (for instance: cofounderslab, founders2b etc.), and many such services.
[0033] Merely using the contact book of a user’s phone wouldn’t have made it a very proficient app. And without many people in phone book of a user using this app, this app won’t be useful at all. To make it really useful, this app has been made to search at multiple levels of contacts, which is explained in the e.g. and illustration. For example - User A has got computer readable platform app and has got 500 contacts in his phone book. Out of the 500 only 25 people are using this app. So effectively, for anything user searches for, computer readable platform has only 25 contacts to search and produce the results. The chances don’t seem high for user A to get effective results.
[0034] Now consider, each of those 25 users have 500 contacts in their phone book and in each of those 25 phone books 25 people have computer readable platform app.
[0035] Now if user A searches for anything and if computer readable platform not only searches for his phonebook but also the phone books of each of those 25 people in his phonebook using the computer readable platform, it will search for 25 times 25 people, i.e. 625 people. By this the chances of user A finding what he wants increases 25 times.
[0036] Similarly add another level to it and the number goes to 25 x 25 x 25 = 15625 people. With 2 levels or search, chances of user finding what he wants increases 625 times and now possibility of him not finding what he wants, almost diminishes.
[0037] 25 however is a very conservative number. In the above example, if the contacts are changed from 25 to 50 then the number ends up at 125000 people and if the 50 is changed to 100 then it ends up at 1 million.
G) ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0038] The present invention provides reduces an effort and time of a user in finding a product and service by locating a potential provider within various degree of contact of the user. Also, the user receives trustworthy search result as the computer readable platform authenticates the service and product association of the various degree of contacts.
[0039] It is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation. Therefore, while the embodiments herein have been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the embodiments herein can be practiced with modification within the spirit and scope of the claims.
