3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed : -
Field of the Invention:
The present invention relates to amusement device for children. More particularly it relates to children's playground slide being used in playground.
Prior Art:
While various types of children's play apparatus have been around for decades, many parents are unaware of the fundamental role play can have in a child's physical, mental and social development. Generally many articles of play apparatus such as well-known playground slides etc., do not offer the fullest opportunity for children to develop. Moreover, some prior art provided limited protection in the event of a fall. Some of the prior art slides are discussed herein below:
US Pat. No. 3743281 discloses a play slide wherein an inclined slide member is disposable over a stairway, a plurality of rest members being carried on the underside of the slide member for resting engagement with respective stair treads, and side members extending along the slide member for retaining a sliding child on the slide member.
US Pat. No. 2461345 discloses a play slide assembly comprising a chute having a load supporting portion and side guiding rails having upper edges, a gusset plate at each side of one end of said chute, said gusset plates having edges in alignment with said guiding rails and extending in one direction, said plates having edges extending in parallel relationship in another direction at an angle substantially less than 180 degree from said first named direction, a step supported by said gusset plates, a riser for said step supported by said gusset plate and intersecting directly said load supporting portion of said chute, said step and riser forming a safety pocket for users of the slide to stand in a position below the top of said chute, and means to support said gusset plate end of said chute in an elevated position, said supporting means including means to provide access to said first-named step.
In these aforesaid slides, the sliding area is plane. Hence enjoyment or excitement level is very limited. Further as the sliding area is plane, the children come down very speedly and there is risk of injury as children are unable to control the speed and balance.
In particular, there is a need for play apparatus that allows children to practice and balance skills, while safely taking risks. Specifically there is a need for play apparatus like play slide that minimizes risk of injury of children playing thereon.
Object of the Invention:
The main object of the present invention is to provide a playground slide which is safe to slide.
Another object of the invention is to provide a playground slide which is durable and economical.
Another object of the invention is to provide a playground slide which is reliable.
Summary of the Invention:
Accordingly to achieve the aforesaid objects the present invention provides a playground slide comprising:
an inclined sliding member having entry module and exit module, the sliding member comprises at least one area having plane surface and at least one area having plurality of roller sliding pipes, the exit module being fixed on ground;
a climbing structure being fixed on ground at one end and other end of climbing structure is connected to the entry module of the inclined sliding
member, the climbing structure comprises plurality of steps to permit the user to reach from ground to the entry module; and
a support structure for holding the sliding member inclined position with respect to ground.

Detailed Description of the Drawings:
The features, nature, and advantages of the disclosed subject matter will become more apparent from the detailed description set forth below when taken in
conjunction with the drawings in which like reference numerals identify correspondingly throughout
Referring to figure 1, a playground slide (PS) in accordance to present invention comprises an inclined sliding member (SM), a climbing structure (CS) and a support structure (SS).
The inclined sliding member (SM) includes entry module (EM) and exit module (EXM). The sliding member comprises at least one area having plane surface (PLS) and at least one area (RS) having plurality of roller sliding pipes (RP). The exit module (EXM) is fixed on ground. The sliding member (SM) is fixed in an inclined position. The inclined sliding member is generally made of plastic or metal or combination of both. As shown in figure 2, the inclined sliding member (SM) comprises one area (PLS) having plane surface and one area (RS) having plurality of roller sliding pipes (RP). As shown in figure 3, the inclined sliding member (SM) comprises one area (PLS) having plane surface and two areas (RS) having plurality of roller sliding pipes (RP). As shown in figure 4, the inclined sliding member (SM) comprises two areas (PLS) having plane surface and two areas (RS) having plurality of roller sliding pipes (RP). Figure 5 and Figure 6 inclined sliding member comprising one area (PLS) and the other sliding member (SM) comprising one area (PLS) having plane surface and two areas (RS) having plurality of roller sliding pipes (RP).
The climbing structure (CS) is fixed on ground at one end and other end of climbing structure (CS) is connected to the entry module (EM) of the inclined sliding member (SM). The climbing structure (CS) comprises plurality of steps (S) to permit the user to reach from ground to the entry module (EM). The climbing structure (CS) is generally made of plastic or metal or combination of both. The climbing structure (CS) can be ladder or like structure. The climbing structure (CS) further includes handrails on both sides for safety purpose.
The support structure (SS) is provided for holding the sliding member (SM) in inclined position with respect to ground.
The playground slide of present invention can be installed in parks, schools, playgrounds and backyards. The slide may be flat, or half cylindrical or tubular to prevent falls. It may be covered or enclosed by a sheath of plastic. This allows user to have more privacy and security when sliding.
