PLUG WIRE GUIDE
FIELD OF INVENTION: ·
[001] The present subje~t matter described herein, in general, relates to field of
electrical connector plugs, and in particularly relates to structure of plu·g wire
5 guide which can mount different types of wires, such as multi core flat wire and
multi core twisted wires in a single plug.
BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART:
[002] Generally, in the electric plug connector, three pins, such as live, neutral,
earth are present. Further, the electric plug connector has wire guide which allows
10 only one type of wire to pass through it. Accordingly, two separate plugs are to be
required to mount two different types of wires, for example, multi core flat wire
and multi core twisted wire. It becomes very complex and difficult for the user to
select the correct plug for the correct wire. If the user uses the wrong plug for
wrong wire, it becomes a safety issues and can cause insulation failure.
15 [003] Further, if wrong plug is used for the wrong wire, wire is not properly
inserted in the casing of the plug and remains lose in the plug which can cause
short circuit in the plug. Furthermore, the wrong wires can easily come out from
the plug and become dangerous for the user or any other person in the proximity
of the wire. The wrong wire in the wrong plug can cause short circuit in the plug
20 due to lose mounting of the wire in the wrong plug.
[004] US patent No.: US4422706 (A) relates to an electrical plug and receptacle
assembly in which the number of different parts is minimized, characterized by,
the ·use of an identical insulator in both the plug housing and the receptacle
housing. The insulator has contact compartments adapted to mount either male or
25 female contacts. Both the male and female contacts include an integral cable
terminal. Additionally, the female contacts are segmented and include spring
means for biasing the female contacts into tight engagement with male contacts.
[005] Thus, in view of the above prior arts, it is clear that the available pin plugs
has common or single wire guide to guide all type of wires having different shape.
ll.~2S

Further, these wire guides don't provide proper fitment of the wire in the plug.
Accordingly, the wire remain lose in the plug which can cause short circuit in the
plug.
[006] Therefore it is desirable in the electric pin plug to mount both types of
5 wires. In order to mount both type of wires in the common plug, a plug wire guide
is required which can accommodate or mount both type of wires in a single plug.
In other words, to eliminate the issue of mounting two separate types of wires in
two different plugs, a plug wire guide is required which can·mount different type
of wires, such as multi core flat wire and multi core twisted wires in a single plug.
10 OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[007] The principal objective of the present invention is to provide a plug wire
guide to mount different type of wires, such as multi core flat wire and multi core
twisted wires in a single plug.
[008] Another object of the present invention is to avoid requirement of separate
15 plugs for different types of wire.
[009] Yet another object of the present invention is to avoid chance of using
wrong Plug for wrong wire due to which sometimes the wires are not properly
inserted inside the casing and causes insulation failure.
