, Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatically operated door system. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pneumatically operated door system for vehicle with wireless controller, which enables to wirelessly transfer and receive control signals from dashboard of a vehicle to one or more doors without any physical wire / harness cable.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Generally, pneumatic door mechanism actuates the open / close movements of a vehicle door through two double acting cylinders and two linkages with spline shafts. Controls are usually Electro - pneumatically actuated, i. e. the driver triggers an electrical push button connected with the door controller for the purpose of opening or closing the door, which in turn provides electrical signal to the solenoid valves and actuates the double acting cylinder. The electrical push button is connected to the door controller through physical wire / harness cable from dash board of the vehicle to the door controls near the doors.
Some of the disadvantages faced by vehicle manufacturer / door system manufacturer, due to the routing of wires from the dash board to the door controls near the doors in existing electro pneumatically operated door system are
• Wires have to be routed before Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) panel work is done.
• Wires get damaged while fastening the ABS panels / other interior accessories on to the vehicle body.
• Difficulty in finding the exact location of damaged cable.
• Non accessibility for servicing the main harness cable.
• More time for replacement.
• Future expansion is not possible.
• High cable cost due to usage of flame retardant cable.
• Space occupied at Inventory.
