Poly Herbal Composition And A Method For The Preparation Thereof

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a poly-herbal composition for inflammation and pain treatment. More specifically, the invention relates to a topical poly-herbal composition comprising natural herbal extracts as active ingredients and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients or carriers thereof. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the poly-herbal topical composition. In an embodiment, the poly-herbal pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of pain and inflammation comprises (a) an active ingredient comprising a combination of an extract of cannabis sativa and at least one oil, (b) at least one humectant and solubilizer, (c) at least one denaturant, (d) at least one emulsion stabiliser, (e) at least one oil-in-water emulsifier, (f) at least one thickener, (g) at least one preservative, and (h) at least one emulsifier.
