Abstract: The present invention is a film roll obtained by winding a polypropylene film onto a core wherein the polypropylene film has a polypropylene resin as the main component the average hardness of the outermost surface of the roll is 84.0 to 94.0° and the variation in hardness in the width direction of the outermost surface of the roll is ±2.0° or less. Provided is a polypropylene film roll which is for capacitors that addresses the process problems of improper winding film breakage and margin accuracy in capacitor manufacturing steps and enables processing with good productivity.
1. A polypropylene film roll comprising a polypropylene film wound around a core, the film roll having a roll outermost layer having an average hardness of 84.0 to 94.0°, the roll outermost layer having a variation of hardness within ±2.0° in a transverse direction.
2. The polypropylene film roll according to claim 1, wherein at least one side of the polypropylene film has a maximum peak height SRp of 0.4 to 2.0 μm.
3. The polypropylene film roll according to claim 1 or 2,
wherein, when a distance from the roll outermost layer to the core in a
diameter direction is L, and when average hardnesses in a roll transverse direction at
distances from the roll outermost layer of 0, L/5, 2L/5, 3L/5, and 4L/5 are H(0),
H(L/5), H(2L/5), H(3L/5), and H(4L/5), respectively, Formulae (1) to (4):
1.00 < H(L/5)/H(0) < 1.02 Formula (1);
1.00 < H(2L/5)/H(L/5) < 1.02 Formula (2);
1.00 < H(3L/5)/H(2L/5) < 1.02 Formula (3); and
1.00 < H(4L/5)/H(3L/5) < 1.02 Formula (4);
are satisfied; and
wherein variations of hardness in a transverse direction at sites of L/5, 2L/5, 3L/5, and 4L/5 from the roll outermost layer are within ±2.0°.
4. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the distance from the roll outermost layer to the core in the diameter direction, L, is 20 to 300 mm.
5. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the polypropylene film has heat shrinkage rates at 80°C of 0.4 to 2.0% in a longitudinal direction and -0.5 to 0.5% in a transverse direction.
6. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 5, having an
air leakage index of 100 to 1500 seconds when one side is layered on another side.
7. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 6, having an air content of 0.1 to 8.0%.
8. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein at least one surface of the polypropylene film has a surface roughness (central surface average roughness), SRa, of 0.01 to 0.05 μm.
9. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 8, having a film thickness of 0.5 to 7.0 μm according to a micrometer method.
10. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 9, having a film length of not less than 20,000 m.
11. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 10, having a film width of 500 mm to 1,050 mm.
12. The polypropylene film roll according to any one of claims 1 to 11, to be used for a capacitor.
