DESC:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to the field of ceiling fans, more specifically, to a ceiling fan that includes air purifying device which removes contaminants and impurities from the air.
Background of the Invention
Portable and stationary fans such as ceiling fans, do not provide direct and multiple connections to air quality improvement devices. The present invention provides fans with an ability to connect one or a combination of different air quality improvement devices such as filters to improve and condition air where they operate. Therefore, consumers are provided with versatile portable and stationary fans that filters the air as desired.
An air purifier or air cleaner is a device which removes contaminants from the air in the room to improve indoor air quality. These devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics, and at reducing or eliminating second-hand tobacco smoke. Air purifiers may also be used in industry to remove impurities such as CO2 from air before processing. Pressure swing absorbers or other adsorption techniques are typically used for this.
Therefore, in order to overcome the above difficulties there is need to develop an air purifier which filters and improves the air quality levels of the room with minimum cost.
Brief Summary of the Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide an air re-circulating system and an air purification system having one or more air purifiers adapted for drawing in air and discharging it to a room through one or more outlets.
According to a first aspect of the invention, the air purification system is adapted to produce clean and odorless air for circulating in a room. The ceiling fan with the purification system is adapted to be housed along with the ceiling fans motor.
In accordance with the first aspect of the present invention, the passive type air purifier uses an air filter with activated carbon to remove pollutants. The filter adapted with the system is more effective for removing dust, particle matter and odor from the air.
In accordance with the first aspect of the present invention, the air is forced through a filter and particles are physically captured by a filter. The filter is a High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance (HEPA) filter, which removes at best 99.97% 0.3-micron particles. These filters are more efficient at removing larger particles. Also, these filters do not generate Ozone or harmful byproducts in course of its operation.
In accordance with the first aspect of the present invention, the system can purify a room more efficiently as the system incorporated in the ceiling fan is mounted center of the room and circulates air to all over and from top to bottom.

Detailed Description of the Invention
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a novel air re-circulating and air purification system having an air purifiers is disclosed.
In accordance with the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the air purification system is adapted to produce clean and odorless air for circulating in a room. The ceiling fan with the purification system is adapted to be housed along with the ceiling fans motor.
This invention relates to the development of Air Purifier with ceiling fan. Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants and impurities such as CO2 from the air before discharging the air. This is the passive type air purifier, it uses air filter to remove pollutants. This filter is more effective since all dust and particle matter is permanently removed from the air and collected in the filter.
Referring to the drawings, FIG. 1a and 1b illustrates a front view (100) depicting the air purifying device mounted on the ceiling fan according to the present invention. The Air purifier device (105a) is mounted at the top of the ceiling fan (103) motor. This device (105a) comprises a driver circuit (204) to supply power to activate an air purifier device (105a), an air inlet (302) is provided on the said air purifier device (105a) to enter air into the pre-filter element (304), a pre-filter element (304) in which air first enters into it to eliminate larger dust particles in the air, a High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter (306) associated beside the said pre-filter element (304) to eliminate minute particles in the air, an activated carbon filter (308) associated with the said HEPA filter (306) to eliminate left out minute particles from the filtered air, an air outlet (310) to exit purified air into the room and a micro controller unit (102a) to receive signals from the said remote controller (206) communicates to the driver circuit (204) wherein the air purifier device (105a) is activated to remove impurities from the air.
The air purifier device (105a) is a passive type air purifier which is provided with a filter unit through which it clears away pollutants in the air. On the top of the air purifier device (105a) a micro controller unit (102a) is placed which receives signals from the remote controller (206) and communicates to the driver circuit (204) as shown in Fig. 2 which activates the air purifier device (105a) to remove impurities from the air.
On the ceiling fan (103b), a plurality of vents (104b) are provided on the top of the air purifier module (105a) as shown in Fig. 1a so that there will not be any obstacles to the impure air. After filtering the purified air will exit from the outlet and will be thrown by the ceiling fan blades (106a) as shown in Fig. 1a.
FIG. 2 illustrates a flow chart (200) depicting the working principle of the air purification system according to the present invention. The air purifier device (205) is mounted at the top of the ceiling fan motor as shown in Fig. 1a comprises a remote controller (206), a micro controller unit (202), a driver circuit (204) and an air purifier device (205). When the user switches ON the remote controller (206) to initiate the air purifier function of the electric fan as shown in Fig. 1a, then the micro controller unit (202) receives the remote signal and activates the driver circuit (204) to supply power to the air purifier device (205). Then the air purifier device (205) starts working which removes the impurities from the air and improve the air quality of the room
FIG. 3 illustrates a flowchart (300) depicting the working principle of the filter unit arranged in the air purifier device according to the present invention. The air purifier device (105a) mounted at the top of the ceiling motor as shown in Fig. 1a is provided with a filter unit through which it clears away pollutants in the air. The filter unit in takes air from the side of the ceiling fan and then air enters into the first region which is called pre filter element (304). The contaminated air enters into the pre-filter element (304) through an air inlet (302), the pre-filter element (304) filters and eliminates a large amount of dust particles from the air. Then the air enters into the next region which is High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter (306) associated beside the said pre-filter element (304) to eliminate minute particles in the air. Next to the HEPA filter (306) an activated carbon filter (308) is placed which eliminates left out minute particles in the air. The purified is air will exit from the outlet (310) and will be thrown by the ceiling fan blades (106a) as shown in Fig. 1A.
These plurality of filters pre-filter element (304), HEPA filter (306) and activated carbon filter (308) embedded in the air purifier device effectively helps in removing all dust particle matters permanently from the air and collected in the filter.
