This invention related to new idea for the development of new simple
low cost energy conversion and pollution saving apparatus which may be
called "Portable Gharat " ( Portable Water Mill)" Diesel Electric saving ,
farmers /people self reliance and utilization device.
There is no need to stress upon the importance and necessity for
research and development alternative energy resource more particularly in
remote rural areas to grinding grains (flour), Pulse (Dal) Masala etc.
Since olden time Gharat is being used in Himalayan region for grinding
flour. Which was being fabricated by local people . There become need to
operate exist Gharat natural water flow and head minimum 7 feet head ,
and become fix at one place. Which become near natural stream . and
become damage due to flood often. And natural flow of water also not
become every where.
Mostly people goes for grinding grain for his food on Aata Chakki
(Flour Mill) which become electric driven or diesel Engine operated ,
which does pollution. There is very big crises of electricity also. Aata
(Flour) also not become such taste in the comparison of Gharat or manual
operated traditional Aata Chakki. Many lacks farmers and people are
lifting water for irrigation and other purpose also by electric motor pumps
and diesel Pumps of 3 to 10 and 15 H.P..
Now people are using Vertical Aata Chakki operated by motor though
V-belt and Pulley. This Invention provides a Portable Gharat (Traditional
Water mill in which Small Water wheel which called Bhairon and being
use in Gharat, in this Vertical Aata Chakki at the place of V Belt Pulley ,
now is using Bhairan ( Water wheel to operate Aata Chakki Which called
Mangal Portable Gharat , Which water comes out from delivery pipe of
pumps that delivery pipe is fix in the fi^me of Aata Chakki (Mangal

Portable Gharat , as much time farmer will irrigate his fields, Portable
Gharat will run by the force of water comes out from delivery pipe of the
pump. Old Gharat mostly run by 1 or 2 cusec water , which falls from 7
feed head. Farmers used mostly 6 or 8 H.P. pumps which gives 1 cusec or
less or more discharge . and become velocity very high. Which is sufficient
to operate Mangal Portable Gharat which can take any where . Stone of
Gharat become of many sizes according to available water. So we can use
stone according to pump size , if there is big pump and more water we can
use big stone if pump size is small then we can use small stone in portable
Gharat. As Ghumantu Luhar (Loh Garia) of Rajsthan is having own small
Aata Chakki in his bullock cards of small diameter of mill stones.
By the velocity of water become discharge from the mouth of delivery
pipe of pumps by that small water wheel also can operate for power
generation or other small rural industry as wooden grinder and to operate
chafe cutter or sugar can crusher at own tube well Where natural flow of
water become not available..
Some of the advantages of this apparatus may be listed as follows:-
A- Design of the apparatus is simple.
B- Direct conservation of energy of water and double benefits with
irrigation by one pump.
C-More efficiency than Gharat without developing any head and no
need of natural flow.
D-Operation is easy and can be operated by old or children same as
Gharat.
E- No need of any fuel or electricity is required and operating cost is
equal nil.
F-Costof construction and installation is low. ^ x .

G-AU type grains can be grinding without addition consumption of
diesel and electricity and no need of additional diesel engine and
electric motor, all work can be done by same pump with irrigation
.which become used for lifting water.
H- H-Maintenance is simple and cheap.
I- Much less cost of operation.
J- Does not create pollution and all.
K-It is Mangal Portable Gharat ( Water Mill) so can be use at any site
where pumps run for water pumping, to take device. Crores and
Crores people /farmers are doing pumping water from tube Wells ,
open wells and from rivers and canals.
L- No danger of flood by which maximum Gharat become disturb by
flood.
M- Usefiil m hilly area also with plane area where in hilly areas
flood comes , because this portable Gharat also can be operated by
the water of PANALA of existing Gharat and in rainy season can
be remove to protect from damaging by flood .
N-Mangal Portable Gharat is a fiiel less And best substitute also of
Small Gharelu Aata Chakki. Farmers can do grinding their flour
without any cost and wasting time at own fields with irrigation.
It is sustainable. No such simple device for grinding Grains
(Flour) to them where is no facility of natural flow of water and
electricity in India and abroad. In accordance with this invention there
is provided a device called "PORTABLE GHARAT" converting
energy of water velocity of pump into mechanical energy of rotation
and utilizing it for grinding grains comprising at least suitable
delivery pipe of centrifugal pump to rotate Bharan (Water mill) (Aata

Portable Gharat (Water Mill) can be fabricate by steel Angle Iron
or wood. With to handles to carry here and there easily just like
stature. Ready made Masala Chakki can be purchase from Market
and Bharan can fix at the place of V-Belt pulley.
Device /^paratus described is simple in construction and its
operation does not require any fuel. The village artisans can easily
fabricate the device and it can be installed by itself villager farmer
unfiled also,
Operation of the apparatus is very simple and easy by sending
water from delivery pipe of centrifugal pump.
While ,it has been illustrated and described of invention, it is to be
understood that such is merely illustrated and not restrictive and that
variations and modifications may be made therein without departure
from the scope of invention. It is, therefore, limited to the precise set
forth but desired to avail of such change as full within the purview of
this invention. .

Claim-
1-Portable Gharat is a same as traditional Gharat (Water Mill) which
run without natural fall and without natural flow. By the velocity of
water become discharge / delivered ^om pumps.
2- Portable Gharat can be shift any where to do transport, where need
and become water pumping. Not depend on natural water fellow.
3-No need to construct a Gool /Chanal for water like traditional water
mill (Ghar^) and no need to ^velop a required water head for gharat
4- Portable Gharat can be used by farmer during irrigation their crop
m plain when till now Gharat is being used cHily in hilly area.
5-Portable Gharat substantially as herein described with refence to
and s& illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
