Portable One Stop Medical Solution

Abstract: Medical devices are altering the face of healthcare throughout the world. Innovative equipment is being offered to patients and healthcare facilities across rural areas as a result of the advent of NLP and IoT along with the rapidly changing healthcare solutions domain. Moreover, the adoption of such devices has been facilitated by geographical constraints and high wait periods in hospitals. In addition we have observed rural communities face the challenge of comprehending information accurately due to lack of fundamental knowledge. Hence, we are motivated to design a portable one-stop device for health information dissemination and solutions. In order to build the device, we plan to combine the techniques of IoT and Natural Language Processing. This device may bridge the gap between the underprivileged section of the society and modern technological framework.

Specification

Claims:We claim that,

1. This compact one-stop device provides medical assistance in regional languages.

2. The device will be capable of converting voice to text, after the removal of noise, echo, accents, and similar sounds, and vice-versa.

3. The device will be capable of translating texts from regional to global language and vice versa, where no pre-developed translation models for some of the regional languages exist.

4. With the help of the device, it will be extremely easy for the users to navigate to the nearby healthcare centers and medicine stores.

5. The device will be able to predict probable diseases and their related hidden symptoms from the messages conveyed by the users.

6. The device will be capable of providing a summarized output of the findings to the user in textual and audio format.

7. The device will be updated periodically using firmware upgrades in local centers, as the device will be completely offline.

8. The device will also be able to provide users with the navigation information needed to locate the local firmware upgrade centers.

9. This device will be beneficial due to not usages of 3G/4G/5G communications and hence will be devoid of any radiation.

10. The device will be user-friendly and very affordable. , Description:The present invention aims to develop a compact, affordable and user-friendly one-stop device that will be capable of assisting users in the wake of a medical emergency. The user, who is not well-versed in global languages, such as English, may not be able to follow disease literature of the internet that is largely documented in English. Instead, he/she might be comfortable using a regional language and may face issues when surfing the internet or medical literature for information. The proposed device will mitigate this very issue as it will take voice input from the user in their regional language, remove unnecessary noise and convert it into textual format. This text would then be translated into English and keywords will be extracted from it. These keywords will be used to search medical resources and extract relevant disease and related information. This information would then be summarized and translated back to the regional language. The summarized result would then be displayed as well as read out to the user by the one-stop device. Also, the device would be capable of directing the user to any nearby medical facility or medical stores. What’s more, all of the operations described above will be done, without the device connecting to the internet or any server. Moreover, firmware updates, that would include translation and medical information update, will be provided to users in nearby centers, directions to which will also be shown by the device.
