"Positioner For Ultra Portable Imaging System"

Abstract: A flexible, lightweight, easily maneuverable positioner (5) for an imaging system. The positioning system (5) in one example has a cart section (10) with a base frame (15) coupled to one or more wheels (20, 25). There is a mast (50) extending from the cart section (10) and a linkage assembly (55) coupled to a second end of the mast, wherein the mast (50) is configured to swing about a vertical plane. There is a positioning arm (60) coupled to the linkage assembly (55), wherein the positioning arm (60) is configured to swing about at least one of a horizontal plane and the vertical plane. An imaging bracket (62) is used to couple to the positioning arm (60) and configured to receive an imaging unit (65). In one example, the positioner is coupled together by fasteners (530, 540), wherein the positioner can be assembled and dis-assembled via the fasteners without tools. Fig. 1
