Abstract: The present invention relates to a positive electrode for a lithium-sulfur battery, and the positive electrode includes a sulfur-carbon composite as a positive electrode active material. The sulfur-carbon composite includes a porous carbon material having a high specific surface area and a particle diameter in a specific range. The lithium-sulfur battery having the sulfur-carbon composite applied thereto has an effect of reducing initial irreversible capacity and improving output characteristics and life characteristics.
