Power Conversion Device And Method For Diagnosing Failure Thereof
Abstract: A power conversion device is provided with a failure determination unit (11) for determining a power supply failure an earth fault and a disconnection failure of an armature winding in a polyphase rotating electrical machine (4) on the basis of the phase voltage of the polyphase rotating electrical machine (4) detected by a phase voltage detection unit (10). In a state where all power semiconductor switching elements (2) are in an off state and no induction voltage is generated in the armature winding of the polyphase rotating electrical machine (4) when a minute current is allowed to flow in the armature winding of the polyphase rotating electrical machine (4) by an internal power source circuit (6) the failure determination unit (11) determines that: the failure is a power supply failure if all the phase voltages are substantially the same as the anode potential of a DC power source (3); the failure is an earth fault if all the phase voltages are substantially the same as the cathode potential of a DC power source (3); and the failure is a disconnection failure if all the phase voltages are substantially not the same potential.
