Abstract: Present invention relates to power generation unit for power generation using speed breakers. Power generation using speed breaker comprises; rack and pinion, spur gear arrangement, springs, generator, battery. When the load acts on the speed breaker the rack comes down and the springs suspend. Due to this suspension of springs the main gear rotates and then rotates a sub gear attached to it. The gear of the generator is rotated with immediate rotation of the sub gear. The reciprocating motion of the speed breaker is converted into rotator motion (mechanical energy). The speed which is sufficient is fed into the generator. The rotor rotates within a magnetic stator and produces electromotive force. This generated emf is used for charging battery and lighting.
The present invention relates generally to the field of power generation.
More specifically, the present invention relates to power generation unit for power
generation using Speed Breaker.
5 BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Increasing demand of energy adds to the need of identifying nonconventional resources of energy. Here will discuss about power generation from
speed breaker and the possible mechanism required for it. An energy crisis is any
great bottleneck in the supply of energy resources to an economy. It usually refers
10 to the shortage of oil and additionally to electricity or other natural resources. An
energy crisis may be referred to as an oil crisis, crisis, energy shortage, electricity
shortage electricity crisis.
[0003] Therefore, we have to investigate other types of renewable sources, which
produce electricity without using any commercial fossil fuels, which is not
15 producing any harmful products. There are already existing such systems using
renewable energy such as solar wind), OTEC (ocean thermal energy conversions)
etc. for power generation. The latest technology is used to generate the power by
such renewable energy.
[0004] Hence the present invention overcomes the prior art problems by
20 providing a power generation unit for power generation using Speed Breaker.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The principal object of the present invention is to provide low cost and
more efficient power generation unit for power generation using speed breaker.
[0006] Another object of the present invention is that to convert reciprocating
25 motion of the speed breaker into rotator motion for electricity generation.
[0007] Yet another object of the present invention is that the electricity generated
can further be used for battery charging.
3
[0008] A Yet another object of the present invention is that it is total free energy
and can be stored for further application.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] The present invention relates generally to the field of power generation.
5 More specifically, the present invention relates to power generation unit for power
generation using Speed Breaker.
[0010] Power generation unit for power generation using speed breaker
comprises; rack and pinion, spur gear arrangement coupled with the axis of rack
and pinion, springs attached to rack and pinion, generator, battery.
10 [0011] Nowadays, in the present world as the population is increasing the
commercial needs of the people have been increasing. We have different types of
power generation techniques namely wind power generation, hydro power
generation, thermal power generation, tidal power generation, solar power
generation etc. In order to reduce the use of non-renewable resources and save it
15 for future generations we adopted this technique.
[0012] Our focus is generation of electricity from speed-breakers setup. The load
acting on the speed-breaker setup is transmitted to rack and pinion arrangement.
The reciprocating motion of the speed-breaker is converted into rotary motion
using rack and pinion arrangement. The axis of the pinion is coupled with the spur
20 gear. The spur gear is made up of two gears of different sizes. Power is
transmitted from the larger gear to the smaller gear; the speed that is present at the
larger gears multiplied with respect to the smaller gear at the rotation of the
smaller gear. The axis of smaller gear is coupled to a gear arrangement. The gear
wheel with the larger dimension is connected to the axis of the smaller gear in
25 order to increase the generation of the voltage. Hence the speed that has
multiplied at the smaller gear wheel is passed on to this gear wheel of larger
dimension. The smaller gear is coupled to the larger gear and speed breaker in
roads is increasing day by day. There is possibility for generating power by
making the speed breaker as a power generation unit.
4
[0013] When the load acts on the speed breaker the rack comes down and the
springs suspend. Due to this suspension of springs the main gear rotates and then
rotates a sub gear attached to it. The gear of the generator is rotated with
immediate rotation of the sub gear. The reciprocating motion of the speed breaker
5 is converted into rotator motion (mechanical energy). The speed which is
sufficient is fed into the generator. The rotor rotates within a magnetic stator and
produces electromotive force. This generated emf is used for producing electricity
which is used for charging battery and lighting.
