Power State Transitions In A Wireless Power System Based On Combinations Of Status Indicators

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a Power Receiver to communicate status information to a Power Transmitter. A Power Receiver and a Power Transmitter may support using combinations of existing status indicators in the Power Receiver Status field of a message to provide a more tailored response to fault conditions in the Power Receiver. In some aspects, the Power Transmitter and Power receiver can use a combination of existing indicators in a Power Receiver Status field to indicate that the Power Receiver is not able to enter a Power State to receive power from the Power Transmitter. This disclosure describes operations of the Power Transmitter to coordinate with the Power Receiver to enter a power saving mode or to enter the power saving mode in the event of a fault or condition preventing the Power Receiver from receiving or using power from a Power Transmitter.
