Abstract: A power conditioner for converting DC power supplied from a solar cell to AC power and outputting the result comprises: an interconnection output unit for during a normal time when a commercial power supply supplies the AC power supplying the AC power to a main electrical path to which the commercial power supply is connected and branch electrical paths; and a stand alone outlet during a blackout time when the commercial power supply stops supplying the AC power supplying the AC power to a charging/discharging unit. The power conditioner performs a utility interconnection operation during the normal time when the commercial power supply supplies the AC power and performs a stand alone operation during the blackout time when the commercial power supply stops supplying the AC power. During the blackout time the charging/discharging unit charges a battery unit by using the AC power supplied from the stand alone outlet or supplies the AC power supplied from the stand alone outlet to devices.
