Prediction Merriment Apparatus And Method Of Operation Thereof

Abstract: A prediction merriment apparatus as per the present invention comprises a spinner, a hardboard, a plurality of cards, plurality of charts, and plurality of items. The said merriment apparatus operates by picking of a card from plurality of cards, displaying numbers according to which the number of items are to be placed on the hardboard. Further, spinning of the spinner displays numbers, which additionally adds or remove the number of items. The apparatus drives by the way of a prediction by the users, of the numbers that would remain after completion of a pre-determined number of rounds, cycles or iterations, based on the number of items initially placed on the board.

Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a merriment apparatus. More particularly, the present invention relates to a standalone prediction merriment apparatus.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Merriment apparatuses have been prevalent in the market since decades. Such apparatuses involve mental, strategical, or logical abilities, depending on their operational method. These may be for children as well as for adults, based on the level of the intellectual ability to be applied. These can be classified broadly as either educational or entertainment ones. There are many known types of educational merriment apparatuses, one of which is the standalone educational merriment apparatuses, comprising a printed matter placed on top of a hardware. The main disadvantage of this type of educational apparatuses is that they are not suitable and/or convenient for younger children. Another disadvantage of this type of educational apparatuses is that they are expensive.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
[003] Objects of the present invention involve overcoming the above-mentioned problem associated with the existing type of educational merriment apparatuses.
[004] Primary object of the present invention is to provide an educational merriment apparatus that is standalone in nature.
[005] Another object of the present invention is to provide an educational merriment apparatus that is easily operated by beginners, young children and adolescents.
[006] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an educational merriment apparatus that is cost effective.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[007] A prediction merriment apparatus as per the present invention comprises a spinner, a hardboard, a plurality of cards, plurality of charts, and plurality of items. The said merriment apparatus operates by picking of a card from plurality of cards, displaying numbers according to which the number of items are to be placed on the hardboard. Further, spinning of the

spinner displays numbers, which additionally adds or remove the number of items. The apparatus drives by the way of a prediction by the users, of the numbers that would remain after completion of a pre-determined number of rounds, cycles or iterations, based on the number of items initially placed on the board.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[008] The following description describes various features and functions of the disclosed system. The illustrative aspects described herein are not meant to be limiting. It may be readily understood that certain aspects of the disclosed system can be arranged and combined in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which may not have been contemplated herein.
[009] These and other features, including the advantages of the present invention may be incorporated into certain embodiments of the invention which will become fully apparent from the following description, and more apparent from the description to be followed in the complete specification.
[0010] Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
[0011] It is to be understood that the singular forms "a", "an", and "the" include plural reference, unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
[0012] It should be emphasized that the term "comprises/comprising" when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps or components, but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, components or groups thereof.
[0013] In order to provide basic understanding of some aspects of the invention, a simplified description of the invention is presented herein. It is not an extensive overview of this

invention. Also, it is neither intended to identify the key/critical elements of the invention nor to define the scope of the invention.
[0014] The present invention discloses a merriment apparatus for teaching data collection and prediction of components based thereupon.
[0015] The apparatus comprises, but is not limited to, a spinner, a hardboard, a plurality of cards, plurality of charts, and plurality of items.
[0016] A card is picked out of plurality of cards and a number of items are placed on the hardboard as per the number indicated therein on the selected card.
[0017] The users spin the spinner and remove or add the number of an item as per the number appearing on the spinner.
[0018] The users have to predict the number of items that would remain after completion of a pre-determined number of rounds, cycles or iterations, based on the number of items initially placed on the board.
[0019] The closest prediction and the predictions thereafter are ranked and associated with a pre-determined number of points.
[0020] The user aims to have the highest cumulative points or scores after completion of a pre-determined number of rounds or cycles.
[0021] As per a specific embodiment of the present invention, the number of users is limited to a maximum of four. The number of users is mentioned not to limit the scope of invention, but only to further enhance the understanding of invention to a person skilled in the art.
[0022] As per an additional embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of items may include, but is not limited to, a fruit. It is pertinent to note that the plurality of items would be common for the plurality of users.
[0023] As per an alternate embodiment, the present invention can also be optionally realized through an electronically connected means.
[0024] The present invention also discloses a method for operation of such standalone prediction merriment apparatus.

[0025] While the present invention has been described with reference to one or more preferred aspect, which have been set forth in considerable details for the purpose of making a disclosure of the invention, such aspects are merely exemplary and are not intended to be limiting or represent an exhaustive enumeration of all aspects of the invention. The scope of the invention, therefore, shall be defined solely by the claims to be followed in the complete specification. Further, it will be apparent to those skills in the art that numerous changes may be made in such details without departing from the principles of the invention.
