Abstract: Aspects for preforming cartons are described. According to an aspect of the present subject matter, a method of preforming a cardboard blank (200) is described. The method includes feeding the cardboard blank (200) to a carton-making system (300) for folding six longitudinal crease (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) in the carton blank (200), created by the carton-making system (300), where the six longitudinal crease (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) are to form longitudinal edges of walls, a pasting flap (202), an internal separator vertical wall (206) and an internal separator horizontal wall (206) of the carton. The method further includes folding a plurality of lateral crease 238, 240, 242, 244, 246, 248 in the carton blank (200) by the carton-making system (300) to generate the carton, and connecting the internal separator horizontal wall (206) to the first wall (214), the internal separator vertical wall (206) and the pasting flap (202) to the second wall (210) to create a couple of cavities.
Claims:1. A carton-making system (300) for making a carton, the system comprising:
a crease folding tool to,
create six longitudinal creases (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) in a carton blank (200), wherein the six longitudinal creases (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) are to form longitudinal edges of walls (208, 210, 212, 214), a pasting flap (202), an internal separator vertical wall (204) and an internal separator horizontal wall (206), wherein the internal separator horizontal wall (206) is connected to a first wall (214), and wherein the internal separator vertical wall (204) along with the pasting flap (202) is connected to a second wall (210) to create a couple of cavities (402, 404); and
create plurality of lateral creases (238, 240, 242, 244, 246, 248) in the carton blank (200), wherein the plurality lateral creases (238, 240, 242, 244, 246, 248) are to form connecting edges of upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) of the carton, wherein the connecting edges of the upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) connect the upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) to the walls (208, 210, 212, 214) of the carton.
2. The carton-making system (300) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second wall (210) comprises of a window patching (224).
3. The carton-making system (300) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the length (L) of the carton blank (200) is around 259.5 mm.
4. The carton-making system (300) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the width (W) of the carton blank (200) is around 275.5 mm.
5. The carton-making system (300) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the connected internal separator horizontal wall (206) and the first wall (214) generate a spring action for opening of the carton.
6. A method for generating a carton, the method comprising:
feeding a cardboard blank (200) to a carton-making system (300);
folding six longitudinal crease (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) in the carton blank (200) by the carton-making system (300), wherein the six longitudinal crease (226, 228, 230, 232, 234, 236) are to form longitudinal edges of walls (208, 210, 212, 214), a pasting flap (202), an internal separator vertical wall (206) and an internal separator horizontal wall (206) of the carton;
folding a plurality of lateral crease (238, 240, 242, 244, 246, 248) in the carton blank (200) by the carton-making system (300) to generate the carton, wherein the plurality of lateral creases (238, 240, 242, 244, 246, 248) are to form connecting edges of upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) of the carton, wherein the connecting edges of the upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) connect the upper and bottom flaps (216, 218, 220, 222) to the walls (208, 210, 212, 214) of the carton; and
connecting the internal separator horizontal wall (206) to the first wall (214), the internal separator vertical wall (206) and the pasting flap (202) to the second wall (210) to create a couple of cavities (402, 404).
