Abstract: Printed item contact member (54) comprising base material (50); fixation layer (52) having roughly truly spherical particles (51) fixed therein, superimposed on a surface of the base material (50); and extremely thin low-surface-tension coating layer (53) covering the surface of the fixation layer (52) having roughly truly spherical particles (51) fixed therein and exhibiting a release activity to a printed item. This member, retaining a minute rugged structure, exhibits high ink repellency and can be free from attachment of yarn waste or dust at the time of washing, so that it is suitable for use as, for example, a member brought into contact with a printed paper surface from printing machine, or the like.
