Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for dyeing the hair, using a hydrophobic film-forming polymer. The process of the invention comprises the application to the hair of a composition comprising one or more hydrophobic film-forming polymers, a pigment and a volatile solvent, followed by a step of heating the hair covered with the composition to a temperature above 40oC. By using such a process, coloured coatings that make it possible to keep the hairs individualized, while at the same time preserving the physical qualities of the keratin fibres, are obtained on the fibres.
