Process For Preparing Herbal Cup Sambrani

Abstract: An improved herbal cup sambrani making process and product, employs a combustible absorbent material impregnated with an aromatic substance having fragrance. With the absorbent material being of restricted combustibility such that the absorbent material tends to smoke without producing a flame as it burns, the smoke entraining the fragrance with it as it travels through the air. The combustible absorbent material of the present invention is in the form of an herbal cup sambrani wherein coal powder material, binder and aromatic herbs powder or oil form are mixed together in the proper ratio and then it is put in the mould and die, pressing it to bring it to a desired shape of the combustible herbal cup sambirani. Used in Holy places like temples also in houses for having scent smell to keep the place with fragrance. This also helps in driving out the mosquitoes and other houseflies and small insects.

Process for preparing herbal cup sambrani
This invention relates to the process of making herbal cup sambrani, which releases the fragrance while burning. The objective of present invention is to deal with fragrance (scent smell) released while burning the herbal cup sambrani. Also to provide safe base for accident prevention and not to leave the fire mark on the floor.
The process of making sambrani fragrant is though age-old tradition in India, simplifying the procedure and making it easier to everyone to use it effectively. It is being used in all temples and household poojas. In the urban side people are leading very fast life, they are unable to make fire for (coal fire) sambirani. This process of making fire for sambirani is made simple with this invention. Just like dhoop sticks, this can be ignited with the help of matchbox and the fire for sambirani is ready within a minute.
One of the problems with existing products on the market is that the fragrant smell does not
carry well enough or far enough or last long enough to provide maximum beneficial effect.
One way of dispersing the aromatic substance is to dissolve it in a highly volatile liquid such as
alcohol and then permit the alcohol to evaporate. The rate of evaporation can be increased by
heating the herbal liquid. Evaporation, however, is dependent on temperature, with evaporation
occurring much more slowly at cold temperatures. Rainy weather also impairs evaporation.
Wind, another factor, can also vary the rate of evaporation. Under most circumstances,
evaporation occurs too slowly for maximum beneficial.
This is utilized to give a good fragrant smell inside and outside the house it is also used in temples and holy places also in poojas. In accordance with the present invention, an improved herbal cup sambrani comprises a combustible absorbent material impregnated with a fragrance that is attractive to all humans, and covers the scent of herbal fragrance, with the absorbent material being of restricted combustibility such that the absorbent material can be induced to smolder and produce smoke without producing a continuous flame as it bums, the smoke entraining the fragrance with it as it travels through the air.

The combustible absorbent material of the present invention desirably is an herbal cup sambrani wherein a coal powder, binder and (Eera Auro) aromatic herbal substance. A particularly desirable fragrance is obtained using that particular herb. Another highly desirable fragrance is the fragrance of any other herbs combination.
The cup sambrani is formed in a conventional manner but are larger than the rolled one. It can bum for half an hour. The fragrance herbs incorporated into the cup sambrani preferably are dispersed in a liquid agent having low volatility so that the fragrance is not given off readily at ambient temperatures but is gradually released under the heated conditions of burning the herbal cup sambrani. Another aspect of the present invention is a shield for protecting the floor from charring wherever it is kept. The floor gets a mark after complete combustion. It is avoided using the clay material at the bottom of the cup so as to avoid fire accident and leaving fire mark on the floor. These and other objects, advantages, and features of the invention are disclosed in more detail in connection with a description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention set forth below.
It drives out the unwanted insects like house fly, mosquitoes, other small insects lives in and around houses. By igniting the fire cup by the help of a matchstick this gives coal fire for sambirani. After the coal is ready with fire the sambirani either powdered form or solid can be put to give sambirani fragrant. The cup is also fragrant. Draw back of making the coal fire is eliminated in this process. More over this is safe coal fire compared to the older way of making the coal fire for making the fire. It will not spill around the house unlike coal pieces used. The cup is a single piece that is enough for nearly 4 gram of sambirani to get fired and give out fragrance. The cup is a unique one. Making of the cup is explained in process of making.
The coal is taken and powdered in a mechanical machine. Then transfer the powdered coal to a vessel and then add binder to it. The coal and binder added in the ratio of 1:0.5. Next add herbal powder or oil (fragrance) in the ratio of 1:0.5:0.02 (coal, binder and herbs) All the materials should be properly mixed without making it to become hot. Then add 300 Milliliters of water to the mixer. Mix it slowly to get solid dough like consistency.

Now it's ready for the next process of making it as a cup (1). The mould and die of desired shape and configuration is used to make it as a cup. Desired colour combination can be obtained by adding different herbs or dyes. Small amount of clay is taken (processed with water, the same consistency as like the cup making powder mix) and then the known quantity of mix is taken and put in the die. The mould is then pressed to the known force or pressure so as the die cavity fills and gives the shape and configuration along with the desired colour. Another uniqueness of the product is that the bottom is made up of clay (2) so as to give safety and to avoid any fire accidents. At the end of the complete combustion it does not leave the charred mark on the floor.
Description of the drawing:
FIGURE. 1 is a pictorial view showing the use of the present invention.

I Claim:
1. Herbal cup sambirani comprising a combustible absorbent material that carries a
fragrance material having a fragrance attractive in holy places also at homes, the said
fragrance material comprising the fragrance of herbs (different varieties like Eera Auro)
that is being used in the cup making being of restricted combustibility such that the
absorbent material can be induced to bum and give off smoke without producing a
continuous flame, the smoke entraining the fragrance with it as it travels through the air.
2. Herbal cup sambirani according to claim 1 wherein the cup comprises an incense cup formed of a cup shape coated with the combustible absorbent material impregnated with the fragrance herbs material on combustion releases the fragrance.which will be pleasant.
3. Herbal cup sambirani according to claim 2 wherein the incense cup is coated with a sufficient amount of combustible material and the flammability of the impregnated incense cup is low enough that the incense cup will bum for at least half hour under dry, still air conditions.
4. Herbal cup sambirani according to claim 1 wherein the fragrance material comprises an
aromatic substance that is dispersed in a herbs having a low volatility such that the herbs
evaporates slowly at ambient temperatures but is vaporized readily at the temperatures
encountered when the combustible material is bumed, such that the herbal liquid gives off
its characteristic fragrance slowly and gradually as the combustible material is bumed.
5. Herbal cup sambirani according to claim 2 wherein the incense stick comprises coal,
binder and herbal liquid in the ratio of 1:0.5:0.02 also 300 millilitres of water is also used in
mixing and making the compound for herbal cup sambirani.
6. The cup herbal scent having a low volatility such that the herbal liquid evaporates slowly
at ambient temperatures but is vaporized readily at the temperatures encountered when the
combustible material is bumed, such that the liquid gives off its characteristic fragrance
slowly and gradually as the combustible material is bumed.
7. Herbal cup sambirani is made using the mould of different desired shape and
configuration also with colour combination. Natural colour of coal is black, if required the
colour combination of any colour can be achieved by using different herbs.
8.The bottom of the cup is made up of clay so that the mark afler the completion of combustion is avoided. Also the safety is ensured for unwanted fire accident.
9.Herbal cup sambirani is shaped with the help of a moulding and die cast machine of various shapes. First the small known quantity of clay (processed with the water) with the same consistency of the cup mixture is put in the mould cavity and then measured known quantity is added to the mould then it is pressed at a pre calculate force so as to get a shape. Then it is dried naturally or in the controlled temperature oven.
