Process For Producing 2 3 Butanediol

Abstract: 2 3 butanediol of high purity and very low degree of coloration can be obtained by adding an alkaline substance and conducting distillation (step B) after a step (step A) in which 2 3 butanediol culture broth produced by microbial fermentation is subjected to nanofiltration treatment and ion exchange treatment.
