Abstract: We have invented camouflage fabric by weaving the design into the fabric structure by using dope dyed yarns so that the design does not degenerate like a printed surface. This also overcomes other deficiencies associated with conventional process. it involves for the First Time - Use of Jacquard Weaving technique to develop unique camouflaging effects by weaving into the fabric the patterns that are conventionally produced on the fabric by printing Use of Dope Dyed spun and Filament yarns to create both the base and the patterns instead of the conventional method of piece dyeing the base fabric followed by printing the patterns. This builds in Functionality and Performance into the fabric Use of Speciality Finishes to enhance the comfort levels to improve the functionality of the fabric. Thus we have brought together for the first time techniques and resources that were never applied to this product to enhance the protective concealment as well as functionality. The benefits are all round colour fastness properties, better aesthetics due to long lasting woven design, superior functionalities and comfort levels.
