Process Of Preparation Of Super Absorbent Polymer Replacement For Disposable Baby Diapers

Abstract: The preparation of superabsorbent polymers (SAPS) as a replacement for conventional' materials in disposable baby diapers is a dynamic field with significant advancements. SAPS are crucial components in diapers as they enhance absorbency and keep infants dry. Traditionally, these polymers were derived from petroleum-based sources, but the growing emphasis on sustainability has prompted researchers to explore coo-friendly alternatives. One promising avenue is the development ofSAPs from biodegradable and renewable resources. We use naturaLpolymers, as well as synthetic polymers derived from bio-based feedstocksl The synthesis process involves the polymerization of monomers to form a three-dimensional network capable of absorbing and retaining large amounts of liquid. To enhance the performance ofthese eco-friendly SAPS, we are also incorporating nanomaterials and cross-linking agents. Nanotechnology facilitates the modification of polymer structures at the molecular level, improving absorption capabilities. Cross-linking agents contribute to the stability of the polymer network, ensuring efficient moisture retention. Moreover, these methods are used to scale up production while maintaining Fog-effectiveness. Continuous advancements in manufacturing techniques, such as solution polymerization and inverse suspension polymerization, aim to_optimize the synthesis process for large-scale production of these biodegradable SAPs. In conclusion, the preparation of superabsorbent polymer replacements for disposable baby diépers involves levéraging sustainable materials, nanotechnology, and efficient manufacturing processes. This interdisciplinary approach holds promise for developing diapers that are not only highly absorbent but also environmentally friendly.

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The present invention is the preparation of super absorbent layer from natural polymer for disposable
baby diapers. The preparation of super absorbent polymer replacement for disposable baby diapers
maintains high absorbency, provides comfort and environmental benefits.
DESCRIPTION
Field of Invention
The current invention relates to the Biodegradable polymers for replacement of disposable baby
diapers. This invention helps in the environmental benefits.
Background of the Invention
'
The preparation of super absorbent polymer (SAP) replacement for disposable baby diapers involves
the utilization of natural polymers' such as chitosan and cellulose. This invention is related to
absorbent goods, specifically better absorbent products with barrier sheets that are biodegradable,
fluid impervious, and allow for flushing after use. This approach offers a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to baby diapers. For a considerable amount of time, absorbent products like surgical dressings, sanitary napkins, and diapers have been made using barrier sheets made of one or more
piles of impregnated papei’ to make them repellent or semi-repellent, as well as rubber, polyethylene
or polypropylene thin films, and the like. The polyethylene films have shown to be the most effective
from both a functional and commercial standpoint. However, absorbent products incorporating such
films as moisture barriers cannot be safely flushed away in sewage disposal systems because
polyethylene and other polymeric films are relatively inert and are not attacked or broken down by
bacteria typically found in public and private sewage disposal systems. The polyethylene or polymeric
films used as a barrier sheet stay intact even though the other absorbent product's components will
quickly break down and be attacked by bacteria in a public or private sewage disposal system. lfthe
sheets do not clog pipes and sewage disposal equipment, they will pass through the sewage treatment plant and cause pollution issues. From above it is clear that providing a disposable baby diaper is truly important. We produce a super absorbent polymer replacement for disposable baby diapers which will be readily broken down by bacterial action in private.
Summary of the Invention
In order to prevent pollution and ensure that the product meets the diaper‘s functionél requirements,
this project aims ‘
to manufacture a biodegradable baby nappy by replacing the non-woven
polypropylene with specifically finished biodegradable viscose non-woven. To prepare a super
absorbent polymer (SAP) replacement for disposable baby diapers, focus on creating a material with
high absorbency, biodegradability, and comfort. Begin by selecting natural polymers like chitosan
and cellulose derivatives as the base. Incorporate cross-linking agents to enhance water absorption
capacity. Experiment with environmentally friendly additives f0; odor control and antibacterial
properties. Optimize the ratio ingredients to achieve the desired absorbency and durability. Test the material's performance in terms of liquid retention, gel formation, and comfort. Aim for a sustainable solution that reduces environmental impact while meeting the absorbency _requirements of disposable diapers.
Disclosure of the invention:
Reference may be made to patent number CNI |0628086A by Peng Liyuan titled “Composite super
absorbent resin” The invention relates to a composite super absorbent resin, which comprises the
following components by weighf: 85%-90% ofsuper absorbent resin, 5%-8% ofchitin and 5%-
7% of modified potassium titanate whisker. The preparation method includes the steps of: (I) adding
polyethylene glycol, cgllulose, water and azodiisobutyronitrile into a reaction kettle according to a
weight part ratio of 5-8:50-60:30-44:l-2, and carrying out grafi modification at 90DEG C to obtain
polyethylene glycol cross-linked super absorbent resin gel; and (2) adding chitin and the modified
potassium titanate whisker intothe super absorbent resin gel in proportion, and conducting
mechanical stirring, and performing drying, dewatering and crushing to obtain the
composite super absorbent resin. The invention has the beneficial effects that: the problems of skin
irritation, poor antibacterial properties and poor gel strength in existing super absorbent resin are
solved.
