The Composition For Tablets For Reducing Cholesterol

Abstract: The composition as per then invention relates tablets comprising synthetic guggulsterones in concentration of 25 mg or 50 mg per tablet for reducing cholesterol levels which can be prepared by first dry mixing the drug with excipients and then granulating with binder solution, followed by drying of granules, sizing, lubricating compressing into tablets and finally coating the tablets, if required. The composition of the present invention reduces the cholesterol, triglycerides and total lipid, thus reducing risk of cardiac events associated with the antiischemic therapy through it’s cardio-protective action.
