Abstract: PRODUCTION OF DRAGON FRUIT READY-TO-SERVE BEVERAGE ENRICHED WITH ALOEVERA PULP The present invention relates to the field of therapeutic beverage. Most specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a dragon fruit RTS enriched with aloevera. The dragon fruit is a rich source of potassium, serum protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals, all of which are essential components of the human diet and have significant antioxidant activity, on the other hand addition of aloevera provides the added health benefits because of biological and functional properties. The Dragon fruit RTS enriched with aloevera is made using a special recipe that involves carefully selected and washed dragon fruit and aloevera leaves. The fruit and leaves are then blended together to create a smooth and flavourful juice. The juice is then pasteurized to ensure its safety and stability, and packaged in a convenient and eco-friendly bottle.

The invention leads to production of dragon fruit ready-to-serve beverage enriched with aloevera pulp.
Background of the Invention

Several patents have been issued for beverages but none of these are related to the present invention. For example, JP2020036558A relates to vegetable and fruit juice requiring no addition of preservative, having a sufficient amount of enzymes useful for human bodies such as catalase and ascorbate peroxidase, vitamins, minerals, and flavor components, a beverage containing the vegetable and fruit juice, or a frozen product thereof capable of being stored for a long time.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of producing vegetable and fruit juice without enzyme inactivation, the method using a first step of crushing and milling harvested vegetable and fruit to extract juice, and a second step of passing the extracted liquid with the enzyme activity obtained in the first step remaining, through a sterilization filter having a hole diameter of 0.01 to 1.0 µm to perform sterilization and filtering and obtain a sterilized and filtered liquid product. Also, the method additionally uses a third step of adding and mixing one or two or more selected from water, fruit juice, refreshing drink, or saccharides into the liquid product obtained in the second step. Another patent, CN105285603A provides a dragon fruit beverage and belongs to the field of healthy beverages. The dragon fruit beverage is composed of the following ingredients in parts by weight: 10-20 parts of dragon fruit, 5-10 parts of lonicera japonica, 4-8 parts of crystal pear, 6-12 parts of mulberry, 1-5 parts of a stabilizer, 2-7 parts of honey and 20-40 parts of water. The dragon fruit beverage is simple in preparation process, good in taste and rich in nutrition, has the effects of resisting senescence, clearing away heat and toxic materials and improving immunity of human bodies and has a wide market prospect.
Another patent, US8993024B2 provides a method of producing a food or drink containing one or more components extracted from a raw material by using fruit(s), vegetable(s), bean(s), nut(s), mushroom(s), alga(e) or tea(s) as the raw material, which comprises the following steps: freezing the raw material; grinding the frozen matter at a controlled temperature; and dipping the ground matter in a solvent and thus extracting one or more components of the raw material. It is preferable that the temperature in the grinding step is controlled to a level not higher than the brittle temperature of an aroma component, a colorant or an essential oil which can be extracted from the raw material. According to the production method of the present invention, the obtained food or drink can sufficiently contain a desired component contained in fruit(s) or vegetable(s).
Another patent, CN100589721C provides a a manufacturing method of dragon fruit beverage, which comprises the following steps: (1) separating fruit and peel, (2) beating fruit, removing seed, adding acid and vitamin C, stirring evenly to prepare fruit pulp, (3) adding water in the sol, heating to obtain the colloid, adding colloid and edulcorant in the fruit pulp to obtain the product.
Another patent, CN104489821A relates to preparation method of a litchi and dragon fruit beverage. The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out raw material treatment; carrying out high pressure treatment; carrying out ultrasonic treatment; carrying out enzymolysis; filtering; mixing the raw materials; and sterilizing to obtain a finished product. By adopting dried nitrogen as the raw material for extruding and crushing protective gas, dragon fruits and litchi are prevented from being contacted with oxygen. Easily oxidized matters in fruits such as polyphenol oxidase and the like are protected, so that brown stain of fruit juice can be prevented and the original glossiness of the fruit juice can be maintained. The dragon fruits and litchi are mixed together to be processed to a beverage. Low calorie of the dragon fruits can fully neutralize high calorie of litchi, so that people can be prevented from being getting flamed by eating more litchis. Meanwhile, high-sweetness of litchi can neutralize low-sweetness of the dragon fruit, so that the taste is appropriate.
Another patent, CN107683989A relates to kind of mango dragon fruit composite beverage, is made up of mango juice and Dragonfruit Juice. By implementing the present invention, mango Normal juice and dragon fruit Normal juice organic assembling are got up, not only nutritive value is higher for the mango dragon fruit composite beverage prepared, and keep the fragrance of fruit, pure in mouth feel, soft tasty and refreshing, palatability is good, and mouthfeel is good, evokes the appetite of people, it is a kind of fruit drink with plurality of health care functions, market prospects are very good.The product form that the present invention makes is preferable, and product remains mango and the original nutrition of dragon fruit and functional component, easily digests and assimilates, enhance specific function well;The present situation of mango in the market and dragon fruit converted products rareness is changed, solves the postpartum outlet of mango and dragon fruit, and drives the development of mango and dragon fruit related industry, new growth engines is formed, there is huge economic benefit and social benefit.
Another patent, US20050058745A1 discloses a concerned with a method for enhancing the flavor shelf life of beverages, including beer and other malt beverages, by incorporating Labiatae herb extracts either to the finished beverage or into a step in the manufacture of the beverage.
The present invention relates to the field of therapeutic beverage. Most specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a drangon fruit RTS enriched with aloevera. The dragon fruit is a rich source of potassium, serum protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals, all of which are essential components of the human diet and have significant antioxidant activity, on the other hand addition of aloevera provides the added health benefits because of biological and functional properties. This therapeutic RTS is based on mixtures of dragon fruit and aloe vera, which have great nutritional quality and improved energy value, making them potentially effective in areas with lack of food and insufficient nutrition.
The primary object of the invention is production of dragon fruit ready-to-serve beverage enriched with aloe Vera pulp.
The another object of the invention is to prepare ready-to-serve beverage.

This current RTS drink will help to meet the requirement of people who are more concern about health and low fat, low calorie and highly nutritious drink. Usually combination of aloe vera with dragon fruit is a novel method of approaching the effective use of fruits as a traditional and nutritional drinks.

A production of dragon fruit ready-to-serve beverage enriched with aloevera pulp comprising the steps of:
cutting the sides of aloe vera leaves & dipped in water for overnight;
heating at 60-65°c for 15 min;
mashing of pulp with hand beater and strained with muslin cloth to get aloevera pulp;
peeling the dragon fruits and extracted pulp strained with muslin cloth to get dragon fruit pulp;
blending with aloe vera pulp and dragon fruit pulp;
adding water, sugar and preservative, edible color after homogenizing the mixture; and
bottling in pre sterilized bottles, crown corking, pasteurization (72° for 2-3 min) and Stored at 9°c.
The method as claimed in claim 2, wherein the said beverage is prepared using aloe vera pulp (25%) and dragon fruit pulp (75%).

Ready-to-serve drinks made from processed aloe vera and dragon fruit pulp with required amount of sugar for TSS(°Brix) adjustment and food grade preservatives.

Experimental data:
PH: Maximum ph was recorded in the sample1 (10°brix) 5.97, followed by sample2 (12°brix) 5.96 and sample3 (14°brix) 5.42.
Titrable acidity: Maximum Titrable acidity was recorded in the sample3 (0.30) followed by sample2 (0.27) and sample1 (0.25).
Total sugars: Maximum total sugars was recorded in the sample3 (20.24) followed by sample2 (17.96) and sample1 (15.25).
Reducing sugars: Maximum reducing sugars was recorded in the sample3 (4.88) followed by sample2 (3.59) and sample1 (2.52).
Crude Fibre: Maximum Crude fibre was recorded in the sample3 (1.117g/100ml) followed by sample2 (1.14g/100ml) and sample1 (1.12g/100ml).
Carbohydrate Content: Maximum percent was recorded in the sample of sample 3 (14g/100ml) followed by sample 2 (12g/100ml) and sample 1(10g/100ml).
Ascorbic acid: It has been studied the impact of dragon fruit RTS enriched with Aloe vera. The RTS is rich in nutritional contents and also having phytochemical compounds.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION:
• Formulated product is rich in macro and micro nutrients.
• The ingredients are rich source of phytochemicals which provides nutraceutical effect to formulated product.
• The product is in the form of ready to consume. No need of further dilution and treatments

1. A production of dragon fruit ready-to-serve beverage enriched with aloevera pulp comprising the steps of:
a. cutting the sides of aloe vera leaves & dipped in water for overnight;
b. heating at 60-65°c for 15 min;
c. mashing of pulp with hand beater and strained with muslin cloth to get aloevera pulp;
d. peeling the dragon fruits and extracted pulp strained with muslin cloth to get dragon fruit pulp;
e. blending with aloe vera pulp and dragon fruit pulp;
f. adding water, sugar and preservative, edible color after homogenizing the mixture; and
g. bottling in pre sterilized bottles, crown corking, pasteurization (72° for 2-3 min) and Stored at 9°c.
2. The method as claimed in claim 2, wherein the said beverage is prepared using aloe vera pulp (25%) and dragon fruit pulp (75%).
