Programmable Logic Controller Setting File Generation Assistance Device

Abstract: A programmable logic controller setting file generation assistance device having a programmable logic controller configuration calculation unit (38) for: determining whether or not a programmable logic controller configuration the input of which has been received by an instrument configuration input unit (32) is compatible with a rule on the basis of specification information about a programmable logic controller specification information about a control instrument and specification information about a network; outputting the programmable logic controller configuration the input of which has been received by the instrument configuration input unit (32) in cases in which the programmable logic controller configuration is compatible; and calculating and outputting a programmable logic controller configuration modified so as to be compatible with the rule in cases in which the programmable logic controller configuration is not compatible. The programmable logic controller setting file generation assistance device also has a programmable logic controller setting file output unit (40) for generating a programmable logic controller setting file pertaining to a programmable logic controller configuration selected from among programmable logic controller configurations displayed on a display device.
