Protective Cover For Increasing Insulating Property Of Contactor And Shell Structure

Abstract: A protective cover for increasing the insulating property of a contactor and a contactor shell structure comprising the protective cover which are used for preventing operating staff from coming into contact with energized conductors on a housing (1) by mistake. The protective cover comprises walls (21) for wiring protection which are located at the side facing outwards of each phase of the energized conductor and a plurality of phase to phase insulation walls (22) which are arranged in the walls for wiring protection and form a first encircling structure therewith wherein the plurality of phase to phase insulation walls are uniformly arranged and inserted in a gap between the energized conductor and an insulating blocking wall (11) of the housing to form a shortest electric leakage path starting from the outermost edge position of the energized conductor rectilinearly creeping along the surface of each of the phase to phase insulation walls and then turning to the upward direction to creep to the innermost edge position of the housing closest to the energized conductor on the housing. On the basis of not increasing the volume of the contactor the contactor shell structure prolongs the shortest electric leakage distance and enhances the insulating property of the contactor.
