Protein Compositions For The Treatment Of Inflammatory Diseases

Abstract: The present invention relates to the pharmaceutical compositions of lectin proteins and its use for the prevention, treatment and cure of inflammation, including inflammatory disease. The invention specifically relates to the pharmaceutical compositions for topical application comprising lectin proteins and its use for prevention, treatment and cure of inflammation due to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. The lectin may comprise an amino acid sequence having sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 or at least 70% homology to SEQ ID NO: 1.
